Tl;dr: Let your vote show your opinion on processing.

I always vote for the one I like the most, often a difficult choice because so many are great. I never say which one I voted for, as is the rule but I will say that over processed images turn me right off. Despite this, many have won and some with such edits as added sunbursts and other in frame additions, and even a few I suspected had a patched in sky. I chalk it up to photography as art, afor art's sake and some edits, especially to abstract work did not look over processed and were just amazing. Enforcement of editing would be very limiting as light colors and sharpening often need a bit of work due to the sensor filters(AA etc.) in most of our cameras, Such edits certainly happened in my dad's dark room in the 70's, though most of his work was black and white(I.e. 1970 mcb5 album).

I get to vote because my color pushed mess didn't make the cut. :P

I really struggled with what to post on this one. I figured there would be a bunch of Rosette, Orion, Horsehead, Andromeda etc., so I went with this little reflection nebula instead.

"Messier 78
or M78, also known as NGC 2068, is a reflection nebula in the constellation Orion. It was discovered by Pierre Méchain in 1780 and included by Charles Messier in his catalog of comet-like objects that same year. " ~ Wikipedia

Be careful with that one, and don't be fooled by her seemingly social attitude, they can be unpredictable, especially mom in protest mode. That familiarity could be a problem unless you're the one visiting. I live where they bring the trouble makers for relocation. As a result, we've had a number of incidents in the area. I usually ask "where's mom" when bears show up here. A stern "go home!" makes them sad after being so happy to see my peach trees but they do listen well so far and turn to leave :P

That said, there's nothing quite like getting caught flat footed 1/2 mile into the back fields by mom and two juvenile black bears between you and home half an hour after sunset. You find out you have prehensile hair after all while pretending everything is fine and walking calmly in a safer direction.

Unlike Po, who knows how a to shake a a peach tree(but maybe not noodles), bears did a number on my peach trees again this year climbing in to get the almost ripe peaches and breaking things(branches, pottery etc). My bird feeder became a swingset before apparently being sat on when the cable broke. It was pretty flat but I was able to repair it(again). I found a dead motion light nearby and replaced it. Most critters will spook when those lights hit them, including me sometimes (astronomers do it in the dark)

Hi everybody! I've been missing lately but just logged in and saw this. I have a e-pm2 as my "workbag" camera/backup. It sounds like a wheezing turtle but takes pics on par with my em-5. It also fits in an Ifak with a kit zoom. Super handy little camera. the only thing I dislike is the lack of evf but that keeps it small. I paid about 100$ for it used with the old style doghouse kit 14-42mm. The batteries aren't the same as the em5 though, which can get a little confusing if I'm dual wielding them. It's got the same sensor as the em5ii also. Oh yeah. It will definitely fit in a baseball jacket pocket.

[but then so does my em5ii with the collapsible zoom.]

I set up the fixed rig last night and tried out the terrific 21mm limited I won last winter on the bortle 3 skies in my backyard to see how it would do on a time lapse. I used an external intervalometer as bulb to trigger 15second shots and let it run overnight. I used a diy dew heater to avoid fogging and puddles. This is straight from the camera at some point during the night's hands off shooting.

Video stacking is still a work in progress.
