Low-light functionality quirks on the K-S2

As far as I can see there is no way to change the iso with the screen closed. Is the light still to bright with the screen opened up and pointed at the ground? You can however change the iso with the screen closed using a smart phone wified to it also change focus points focus change Aperture and shutter'

I use mine in AV mostly but M occasionally I have not tried bulb nor one of my Pentax remotes and the battery in my phone is almost dead so I can not check that at the moment.

Anyone Work With Plastic?

Shame you are not closer. I repair plastic in my line of work. Cars are so many types of plastic anymore.3M makes a metal bond (8115) that should work to repair the door. That is what is used to hold corvettes inner structures together. Just need to be careful not to drip any into the battery compartment or onto the metal contacts. It will be permanent. Takes 24 hrs for full cure but is set in 4 hours . A good bodyman should be able to put it back together for you. You could buy it but it and the gun get expensive for such a small amount that you need.

KS-2 Error while recording video, please help?

I don't shoot video so I haven't had this happen in video .I have had mine lock up once but the card turned out to have a problem and my battery was low. popped the battery out it worked a while longer then quit. I put in a fresh battery and changed cards and all was well. I now change my battery when it no longer shows full and I have bought a couple other cars. All cards are reformatted each time I install in the camera. So far it has not locked up again. I hope this works for you as well.

Any advantage of CCD over CMOS?

there was a fairly large difference in the colors of my K-30 and istDL. The DL's colors were more vibrant and warmer . I was able to tweek the colors in the K-30 to usually come close to the Dl's CCD colors. That said my K-S2's colors are close enough I have left them alone . Even comparing them to my K200D there is very little difference in the colors

Questions about Live View on K-70

That sounds odd. My K-S2 is the same speed and operation as my K-30 in live view. it hasn't gotten changed over to the 2 sec delay has it? I know my K-S2 gets moved if I am not careful and bump the 4 way dial then it behaves like you say with what sounds like a double shutter release n LV.

ME-F Question

Those don't bother me as much as the fact mine only works with the shutter set where it is not electric. No one repairs this evidently. Actually nothing electric works. Even with new batteries installed properly. Maybe I need to take it apart and see if I can figure the problem out myself.

KP issues in Live View

Let us know how it turns out.
I do like the articulated screen on the K-S2 for really low or really high hand held shots and use LV for those the rest of the time I prefer/ use the VF.

I do very little in camera processing as well. It cuts down on my battery charge as does LV. The main reason tho is I don't like using the small camera screen for such things. I prefer my monitor it is a lot larger ( Obviously ) so I can see thins a lot better plus my processing software is better. Only thing I do in camera is to occasionally change to a B/W filter.

KP issues in Live View

I don't have a KP yet. I have not heard of this issue with it . Does it not do it with live view turned off and using the VF? Is there a reason you do not use the VF for landscape shots? I personally very seldom use LV. I know my cameras eat the batteries fairly quick when I do use LV.
I am wondering if it might be a battery issue. Losing some power after heavy use. I would try a different battery first,

I have a katseye I bought for my K30 that is now in my K-S2. I love it. Shame they closed down. I have a split screen in myD200 that I bought from focusingscreen.com It works well in it only problem I had was the D200 has a shimm that fell out and I had to reinsert. but tht was all. The K30 and K-S2 did not have shims before nor after. the 200 use the same shim from the factory.
