Tanaka san - Wakashiro san online seminar about K-3 III (CP+ 2021)

I didn't realize to ask this but did anyone talk more about the deep learning software? Could the camera learn based on the photos taken with it? I'm guessing that we the users can't feed the camera information to make it smarter at detecting subjects?

K3III Delayed... indefinitely

As long as the price isn't above $2,500, I'll be buying it. If it is, I'll just be buying it a little bit later. I honestly don't understand the en masse rush to judge the camera based solely on a purely speculated projection.

K3III Delayed... indefinitely

I haven't read all 26 pages so I'm sorry if this has already been addressed but on the topic of price, perhaps it's best to wait until we get some more concrete evidence of a possible price. Right now the evidence that the "price will be 250,000 to 299,000" is as wobbly as a tower of Jello. If we go by the current K-1 II pricing, the US price should be approximately 81% of the Japanese price.

K-1 II prices:
US: $1,999.95 (211,320.72)
JP: 258,500 ($2,446.56)

When divided, the difference between the US and Japan price is ~81.745%. [I]IF[/] the JP price of the K-3 III is 250,000 ($2366.01), then, if the difference in US and Japanese prices of the K-1II holds true for the K-3III, the US price of the K-3III could be approximately $1,934.10. Seems fine and not overly priced to me. If it comes in at 200,000, then the US price could even be $1,547! Even better. Either way, it seems like an incredible machine for the price.

There. Better? Have I reconciled everyone's differences? No? Well then how about we just wait and judge it when the actual prices comes to light before shooting it down before we even know of an official publicly announced concrete estimate from Ricoh themselves.

Sigma 300-800/5.6 getting an update in August?

Considering that Sigma never made the 300-800 in Pentax mount, and they will most likely not make a Pentax mount lens again, why did you bring up this thread?

They say the K-1 has too many buttons? Then I guess the D850, D5, and D6 are terrible cameras because they have even more buttons.

I recently got a Kenko MC7 2x teleconverter and a Kenko Pro 3x TC. I quickly tested them both and the 2x looks like it will be resold. I'll be keeping the 3x.

A powered paraglider flying over a beach on Long Island. Pentax K-3II and Sigma 300/2.8 with Sigma EX DG 1.4x TC (with a bit of post-processing). I actually work at this beach and this same guy was out flying earlier in the summer.

For what it's worth, I don't put much stock in what random strangers are saying on the internet about a serious global health problem. Instead, I prefer to trust a professional medical expert with over 50 years of experience in public health and infectious diseases.

I was referring to the fact that you can't contract COVID directly from these COVID vaccines, not that you won't contract COVID after receiving one.

Both the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines aren't live virus vaccines, though. It's actually a snippet of viral DNA that codes for the spike proteins on the shell of the virus. You can't shed the virus from this vaccine because there is no virus in this vaccine. Can't contract it and you can't spread it from these vaccines.

This honestly looks like a solution looking for a real problem. Even though I don't have one, I prefer Lowepro's solution with their elegantly simple ProTactic Lens Exhange.

Two Teleconverters: Kenko P-AF 2x vs Sigma 2x EX DG

I have a Sigma 1.4x TC but I've looking at getting a 2x as well. I've tried 2x's in the past but they've all been the very cheap, $10 TC that are really wastes of money. From what I've read, these two, the Kenko and Sigma are pretty good for 2x TC but how do they compare. I can get the Kenko more easily and for less money but does that also come along with more IQ loss than the Sigma?

Right now there's a Sigma 500mm f4.5 EX DG up on Buyee. It was just posted. No relation to seller, just saw it and thought I'd share. Right now at $4995, there's 16 hours left to the listing.

Well I've been in contact with a number of machine shops nearby and unfortunately, but not unexpectedly, they all quote prices of between $250 to upwards of $500 to CNC this one piece. One shop has actually offered to ask around at some camera shops to see if there's any interest in selling it to bring the price down. That would be great but unfortunately it's a pretty niche product.
