Be careful of the tubes you get - the Pentax Branded version have unpainted mounts, and 3rd party tend to have painted mounts which may not work as expected on a DSLR due to interuption of electrical connections. Also, you might want to specify if you want "A pins" or a dumb extension tube.

I'm shooting all month with the A 100 ƒ4.0 Macro - its only a 1:2 reproduction, but it makes a razor sharp portrait lens

Low key image means stopped down... ƒ11 is painful

None are required. Life happens.

Maybe 50mm is too normal to interest you.

I tried a 52 week challenge last year after successfully completing a 365 the year before. You’d think it was easier but I failed half way through the year because lockdowns, extra work load and a general funk / depressed head space set in as I confined myself to home.

Be social - have fun - the world doesn’t end because you miss a day.

Just shoot.

There are no absolutes. And as far as theme days go, they are voluntary. Don’t sweat it.

Your Astro failure is pretty vague. Have you got some images to share? Specifics of what you were shooting? There are more than a couple of us “just west of Toronto”.

Issues like calibration, focus, decreased exposure times for Tele lenses, and in winter condensation are common issues. Finding dark sky is another difficult task (I shoot near Dunnville for some good dark skies). I coordinate moonless nights and a a dark sky website for darkest opportunities. Also time of year wise- the galactic core is easy shooting.

The album has exif intact for most images.

K-1 i vs K3 III Just discussion.

I have a K-1 (upgraded from a K-5 IIs) It creates fine images with very nice files. On crop mode the files are very similar to what I was getting from the K5 IIs IMO.
When compared to APS-C/mirrorless models it has a low FPS (4 in FF and 6 in crop) and small buffer (# of frames wise).
I use the Astro tracer and gps functions on occassion, and put the weather sealing to use regularly.

A draw back is the size of the glass, and limited options for using the nice auto focus (it's got no benefit to manual glass). I have my Focal Lengths covered, but my long end is legacy Sigma HSM APO glass (1/3 cost of DFA equiv but only available used).

I am interested in K-3 III because on occassion I shoot song birds and sports.

The crop will let me carry smaller / lighter tele glass when shooting all day tournaments.
I am keen for the new AF, and the 12 FPS and larger buffer (# of frames wise).
Optically there is zero investment for me because I kept my DA lenses ( 8mm fisheye, 15mm ,21mm , 12-24, being the priority).

I see the K-3 III as an alternative to D500 /D7500 from that guy, and EOS 80D from the other one. While the K-1 (ii) is an alternative to the D850 or EOS 5D.
The two style cameras are designed for two different use cases.

I have had both Asus ProArt and BenQ noted above. Both are excellent with wide gamut and good colour rendering. The features built in are deciding factors for me too (SD card reader and extra USB ports are helpful to my workflow).

Likely IN Ontario... Ontario has greater landmass than France And Spain combined. Thunder Bay Ontario has about 12,000 Fin and Sudbury and area another 9,000 or so.

An hour to go for the puck drop - Good luck ;)

I am not a Finnish speaker - but there are a few in my social circle - Canada has one of the largest Ex Pat Fin populations, and my wife is half Fin by way of Sudbury, Ontario. We just got a fresh batch of pulla out of the oven(Cardamon Sweet Bread)... smells fantastic! We're all looking forward to yelling at the TV for a Canada Finland World Junior Hockey Final :D

As the rules are explicit, and violation of any of them involves severe punishment, I cant imagine why you couldnt make a change mid month. I suggest submitting a change application in triplicate to the appropriate regulatory authorities with affidavit to the effect you will shoot more than a month with the new Single In lens (February and balance of January).

Bricks and mortar representation and splashy media help. I dont see any of this for K3 III - IMO the launch marketing is fantastically weak, and I cannot even pre order in Canada as far as I can see (and if I can pre order then i'll point you back to Mktg failure).

Recruitment of new buyers is dificult when absent from major consumer distribution such as BB in NA. We're a long way from pop culture like the Beatles sporting a Spotmatic....

The world is different when viewed at 21 mm on 24x36 vs APS-C.

I am giving you a nudge to insanity Tsuken - 21mm for 2021 is at the same time great challenge and totally within reach. (Do it.)

In terms of " reduced obsolescence, and the K-1 >> K-1 II conversion service - it would be really great to have a "modular" deployment of the next FF with a plug and play swap out sensor - 40 or 50 MPix for the landscape crowd, and a 24 MPix version for the event / reportage photog.

Buy the body, customize the guts..
