+1 on SSD advice. But no need to push for M.2 NVME, bit overkill and most apps can't utilize it.

That's a nice combo!
Just waiting X-T2s do drop so maybe i can pick up the X-T2 or if the price is right newer version. Touchscreen and ibis would be killer. I wish X-t20 or x-e3 had tethering options, the only real killer for me.

I have rented 16-23-35 f1.4, 56 f1.2 and 90 f2 over the course of summer with an xt2 just to try it out. Prices of those lenses are high but compared to FF equivalent they are reasonable in my opinion. Build quality is fantastic, some lenses have great af (16 and 90), they are sharp..etc.

What interested me in Fuji system was: Kaizen, Tethering (i know K1 now can tether), Fast and reliable lenses, little smaller and lighter than dslr camera/lens combinations (i have back issues), EVF, Lack of Pentax 3rd Party support mainly in lighting area.
That being said i am not trying to replace my Pentax gear, might even buy the K1 for high paying studio work. Any events, gun and shoot situation and times i need versatility + durability Pentax is here to stay with my zoom lenses. However, I am mainly shooting on-location portraits and some personal projects which i can slow down, think and enjoy bit more, that's the Fujis place to take.

Yeah in APS-C segment they are truly astonishing considering how new they are to the game. I have been a long advocate for their products and have been considering to switch for awhile now. Who doesn't wants small, sexy bodies with small (compared to FF), sexy and reasonably priced lenses? OH and hopefully they will release 33mm f/1.0 eventually.

Back to the topic, I hope Pentax 645 100 mp comes out earlier or it might hurt the business.

Portable Studio Suggestions & Equipment

I turned my garage into the studio couple of years back with cheap strobes, home depo wood floor and large white bed sheets. For location work, i have been relying on 5 yongnuo yn 560s.

However, on-location and mobile studio thing seem to be very popular in my area and i rarely use or needed to upgrade my garage studio.
In past 1.5 years, i bought a couple of collapsible backgrounds and they have been phenomenal! Do you need some rustic backdrop? boom, clean white that also works as a reflector? here you go sir. I do carry a couple of "sheets" and home depo wood floors around for baby photos though.

Also recently i stopped and wrote what i need and might need in the future and after doing an extensive research decided to move into Godox system. Haven't received my AD600s yet but the idea of having various strobes, monolights, flashguns all with built-in transceivers capable of doing hss + ttl and can be controlled via the same transmitter seems like a superb idea.

Oh and build some "flags", those black pieces of foam/board help so much when you want to control the light or block a window and practically costs pennies to make one.

Quick question about Cactus V6ii and Godox AD600BM

Hey everyone, I just ordered my Godox AD600BM today and was wondering about how i can fire it at HSS mode. From my understanding, i need a Cactus V6ii to access HSS or will it fire regardless?

Also (if yes), do i need 1 or 2 Cactus V6ii triggers for being able to use HSS?
Pentax Camera > Cactus V6ii > Godox Xpro-C > Godox AD600 or another cactus for the strobe?

Camera Bag / Roller/ Insert for 2x Godox AD600

Hey guys, after using AD600BM of my friend I am set to buy two of those bad boys. Well, i need to carry them so a new bag that is on-cabin size is necessary. I believe they might fit to my Lowepro Flipside AW400 but carrying two backpacks is silly (i could use the Roller for camera and backpack for lights or vice-versa).

Requirements:
a) Can fit 2 AD600s with extra batteries
b) Cabin baggage size -56 cm (22 inches), width of 45 cm (18 inches) and depth of 25 cm (10 inches)-
c) Roller> Bagpack> Carry Bag> Insert
d) Budget around 120 pounds and buying from UK.

Quick question:
Do i need 1 or 2 Cactus V6ii triggers for being able to use HSS?
Pentax Camera > Cactus V6ii > Godox Xpro-C > Godox AD600 or another cactus for the strobe?

OneStop Digital- camera shop?

Yes it does sounds bit shady but they seem to be a legit company. And even with VAT included it comes a little bit cheaper. I have purchased stuff from Hong Kong and 4/5 didn't got charged VAT. Also, i only visit uk once or twice a year nowadays so warranty stuff not really worth that much. Yet it does look bit shady...

Hey people, has anyone ever used Onestop Digital before? specifically to UK.

İt seems like lens prices are almost same as Amazon uk but cameras are way too cheap to be true. Check out the K-1.

I have also found few online reviews that mention you also don't pay extra tax.

Disadvantages of moving filter away from front element? Step up/down rings

I was aware of the uneven filtering of variable NDs and X-shaped patterns but thought they could be due to user error or bad copies.

I can also go to cheaper Cokin series filters which are still faster than unscrewing filters but i am not sure of their quality, durability and the magenta cast is too much.

Disadvantages of moving filter away from front element? Step up/down rings

Hey guys, I am planning to buy a new Variable ND filter (a cheap one to experiment at first). I do have a very nice B&W ND set at 67mm but that only covers one of my lenses + changing ND filters can be cumbersome during the shoot. Although i shoot landscapes for fun, ND filters role are more of a getaway drug type fake HSS look for me.

I was originally planning to buy that Cheap Cokin Filters but seeing my friends Lee Filters in action seemed too slow for portrait sessions. And to cover all of my lenses, 55 62 67 77 82 threads, i am planning to buy a magical thing called Step Up/Down rings. Honestly, i don't know how i never saw these things before. Anyway, does stacking a couple of those rings and moving it away from front element will cause issues? such as focusing or haze may be worse image quality?

Fuji Implementing IBIS?

Is it the same Ricoh, the company with the smallest share of the camera market who makes Q , 645 and K mounts (and they just started building K-mount FF lenses from zero). Oh, they also have 365 cameras, action cams and premium compacts. Surely they can afford another mount.

They are doing quite well with m4/3 mount, especially after OG 4/3 failed. Why would they ever want to stop investing in a system that is earning them good money and divide resources to build up a new mount from nothing other than some old lens patents?

If I remember correctly many YouTubers and tech sites found that although there are similarities with Olympus and Sony IBIS they are different designs.

But can't wait to see the long-rumoured flagship Fuji X camera with pro video specs over 2k dollars... now with ibis

4k vs 1440p Ultrawide Monitor for Photo Editing ?

Oh wow. Funny that i am "still" considering what to buy haha. I ended up buying my friends 1080p monitor with good colour accuracy at a discounted price at that time. Also, i agree on colour accuracy being more important than resolution.

Anyway here is my "new" two competitors as my new monitor. Both 24", both 100%. 1 has a good stand, 1 has a stupid stand. 4k vs 2k.

LR usually gives me a white vignetting for some of my lenses. And distortion corrections are not the best as far as i observed.

Also, it would have been nice to support Pentax camera profiles in camera calibration tab.

If I slept well and didn't have coffee, I might get acceptable results at 1/60 or 1/30 at max.

On a normal day, my best is 1/125 at 200mm. But to get SHARP images i need to shoot above 1/300

Very interesting findings.

I am one of the people that constantly bashes Pentax AF system, but that's due to personal experience. I did use both my K-3 with Tamron 70-200 and Canon 5d3 with Canon 70-200 this week for events, both equally dim places and random people dancing around. I know this is not a fair comparison, especially price wise, but AF-C on K-3 felt worse with appx. 70% in focus shots than canon. Again, this is not a native lens and the other combo is much more expensive yet, i do struggle with AF-C on my Pentax cameras most of the time.

Also, both my K-3 and K-5ii hunts a very little in the studio. Whenever i kill the ambient light AF seems to hunt from time to time. I tested this and my best results were with K-3 + Tamron 70-200 48/50 not hunted. Worse was K-5ii + da 50mm 43/50. Canon 5d mk3 + 70-200 resulted in 49/50.
The test was basically to move focus to either infinity or closest and try to focus on a still subject.

There are some 105mm and 150mm lenses as well. But very rare.

And There should be plenty of 58mm + 55mm lenses for K-Mount, which offers very similar FoV to 60mm.
