Try turning off Noise Reduction in the camera settings. This should eliminate the "Double Time" delay. You can then run images through a NR function during post processing.

Found this today, It may be an early prototype, but there doesn't appear to be any connectors for electronics present.

I have thought about doing some stop motion animation. After a little research online, I found this little freeware offering at Version Tracker. I have not installed it yet, but it claims to do what you're asking.

K10 Long Exposure

I've used my K10D tethered to my laptop to do timed exposures via Remote Assistant. It is rather cumbersome as cable release, but the ability to accurately time the exposures is sometimes worth it.

What is this hexagon anomaly in my pics?

That would appear to be a textbook case of good old fashioned lens flare.

This is caused by sunlight (or some other source) shining directly onto the glass of your lens and refracting/reflecting internally within the lens barrel and through the aperture iris, hence the the hexagonal shape of the flare.

Using a lens hood can eliminate this phenomenon in a lot of cases. I've also used my hand to shade my lens while shooting, or even have my wife stand to one side of me to block light from the front of my lens.

Tips on pictures of rainbows?

You might try using a polarizing filter too. Since the rainbow is a result of diffracted light, it is polarized. By filtering out the rays of light that are of a different polarity than those of the rainbow, you should get a brighter, more vibrant result.

I experienced this problem too at a night shoot a few weeks ago. When trying to shoot long exposures lit only by the fullmoon, I was only able to successfully capture two images the whole night (Click here to view the better of the two). I spent the rest of the night wrestling with stubborn software.

The extension tubes allow you to mount the lens further away from the film plane. This allows you to focus on objects closer to the camera, effectively giving macro capabilities to any standard lens.

That's a handy tip... I had a mentor that always recommended collecting the free shower caps that you could get from a stay at a hotel or motel, for that very same purpose.
