Google helped me find it. haha Took a bit of searching, but I found it by searching for a thread I remembered making. Guess I had less posts than I thought I did (thinking of another forum, I suppose) but the account is right here View Profile: Tyler - PentaxForums.com If you can merge, that would be cool, but I'd actually prefer my old name if at all possible. If not, it may not even be worth merging since this account is so new. Up to you!

I'm back. Sadly, my prolonged absence from the forums has meant that I have completely forgotten my username (which had a good amount of posts IIRC) so there is no way any of you will remember me (not that it would help much probably :D) *accounts have been merged. thanks adam!*
I mainly shoot automotive content at the moment. Doing so allows me to contribute to a few sites and one of my newest features just went live yesterday. Figured I would share with you guys and hopefully get back into the swing of things on here. I need a K-5 to replace my K20D, too
Full feature and the rest of the pictures can be seen hereversiontwo laboratory – A True Southern Belle Give it a like if you would be so kind.
Thanks guys!

On the topic of the DSG. That transmission is amazing. My moms new 09 Jetta SportWagen TDI has it and its absolutely phenomenal. It's 8ms shifts are faster than F1.
And the TDI engine itself is awesome. We get about 40mpg normally, but on the highway, 50 is no problem. And even being economicaly, its still tons of fun to drive as compared to a hybrid. It pulls sooo very hard. Tons of torque. Even in the TDI Cup racing series, going all out for however many laps, they get about 25mpg. We need more diesel's in the US. Europe has had them as a large part of their fleet for a long while.

^ Too good. :p
I really hope the Senate has enough sense to not pass this bill. It's a giant step in the wrong direction and really just add's to my fear of Americas future. A future I, only being 17 right now, will have to live with. Oh can't I wait. :hmm:

I second this notion. Last time I was in mexico (both Cozumel and Progresso. stops on one of our past cruises) I had real mexican food, and it was terrible. I much prefer the "mexican" food in the US  Hell, even taco bell is better IMO. Love me some volcano taco's and spicy chicken burritos.
On a related note, I paid $2.63/gallon today for regular. Well, I didn't pay, my parents debit did, but yeah. Diesel is still cheaper, though. Good for our Jetta SportWagen TDI!

Now, I know these threads may not be looked so highly upon, but alas. I came across this today and found it pretty interesting, actually. Love to know what you all think. And no, this isn't graphicgr8s in disguise :p Conservatives Are Single-Largest Ideological Group |

Thanks all you.
The centered compositions are a conscious thing. I really feel that alot of the stuff i shoot (these may not be the case) look better centered. And I just like not using the rule of thirds :p
And yes, I was sure of the year, but not the engine size. Thanks. Not sure if this is restoration either.

Thanks you two. I really do enjoy this camera. Although I may buy a newer 67II sometime in the future, I can't see myself without a 67. Too good of a camera.

Pentax 67, 105mm f2.4, Acros 100 in D76 1+1
Just got my license (im young haha, 17) and drove around downtown Wake Forest, NC. Let me know what you think. Shot, developed and scanned all today. Shot a few 4x5's and bunch of 35mm too, but that will come later.
Here are some others from around my neighborhood. Same film and developer. |

Nikon D3x/D3/D700 already have that feature. They call it "DX Crop" I believe. On the D3 and D700 it gives you a 5mp image.

edit @ pentax poke
Probably to allow for the higher burst speed, maybe? Obviously this mainly has to due with the shutter assembly itself, but the extra power is needed on the d300 for example (grip) to get the full 8fps.

Could one not simply record the 1080i HDMI feed into a suitable device if they wanted to?

I've been shooting with my 67 for a while now, and while I absolutely love the 105 2.4 and it produces great images every time (as long as I don't mess up ) it's often too long for what I want to shoot. Heres the dilemma. I love wide. Is 45mm too wide? I don't think there is such thing as too wide, but maybe it is when using it with the 67.
There is also the difference in price. I plan on buying from KEH in BGN (always been great) The 45mm is $349 and the 55m is $245. Is it worth the price difference?
I would appreciate any input you may have
Thanks,
Tyler

I just looked a little closer at the diffuser, and they did indeed break off :(. I didn't look close enough the first time. Thats the only reason I couldn't get it to work. I could get it to go in, pull out and flip down, but it wouldn't stay in. Now I know why. Thanks Peter.
Anyone know where I could get a replacement diffuser? or should I contact Pentax?

Well my clumsy self just managed to knock my Af-360 off my desk. It fell with the wide angel diffuser out and as it hit, the diffuser shot off. Nothing appears to be broken, just that it popped out somewhat. I've been messing with it for the past 25mins trying everything I could think of to get it to the way it was before, but its just not cutting it
Anyone know how one would go about putting the diffuser back in and having it work correctly? I really would hate to have to send this out to Pentax for service for something like this.
Thanks guys. I can get pictures if that would help
