Just curious... I was looking for a thermal camera recently, in order to check the insulation on the house... (like the Flir C3 model)
Can an IR modified DSLR camera like yours do the same thing ? (Maybe wave range is not the same...? sorry, if question is dumb, I haven't made my homeworks to search on the net about that before asking...)

Some dust on a light... (one of the fisrt tests with the 150mm Macro)
I thought it would look like the sun's surface with the backlight.
With the 150mm Macro f2.8 1:1

Poussière de Soleil / Sun Dust

BTW, I was looking at the Third-Party Lens Reviews in the Lens DB
Pentax Lenses by Sigma, Tamron, Zeiss, and more - Reviews and Specification Database - Pentax Lens Review Database

and I thought the Irix company should have a special section, a special visibility... right now they are classified there under "Miscellaneous Lenses" section, and to me, they are not just "Miscellaneous"... they are one of the major Third-Party Lens players nowadays for Pentax!
Should we ask our admins to look at that ?

We had a couple woodducks entering the house in the chimney in the last couple years, and I thought I'd install a house for them in the backyard...
Well the 1st visitor was an Eastern Screech owl... (that was however expected... not sure he'll stay long.)

I guess UHS-II is overkill for the K-1 ?

Seems the Irix USA site is now advertising the 10% rebate (535$ in lieu of 595$ USD)
But B&H has event better deal @ 485$ USD... (in stock)

It's very tempting to replace my beloved Sigma 180mm macro with that one...
hummmm..... :hmm:  :hmm:  :D  :o :asleep: :p

EDIT: PF has now a full lens review for that Irix 150mm macro since Dec. 4:

Talking about 100th anniversary: 2006 Ford GT [100th Anniversary Edition] Headlights

The original GT (GT40) was a Ferrari-killer at Le Mans back in the 60s, and so when Ford’s centenary was due in 2003 the company set to create a new version that would evoke memories of it’s finest hour. The result was the Ford GT, an almost identical copy of the original race car – one that was famously just 40″ tall.

One of the ways Ford incorporated the centenary celebrations into the car was within the headlights, as there is a hidden ‘100’ within the design. It’s one of those things that you may have never noticed, but you’ll see it every time now!

Saw that on Facebook today.
It is also advertized on the Irix Home page slider...

Search - Irix

Seems the 10% it's only on their global (European site) irixlens.com, as I could not see any reference to that on the irixusa.com site

WiFi Commander for PENTAX v 1.6 is online, now with autodownload

Hi Andrea K,

First... thank you for this app... it's aewsome!

I was able to connect via the K-1 Wifi and download the content of a corrupt SD card onto my Windows 10 laptop...

Actually, the need was : My daughter had taken photos with her K-5 ecently, and suddently, the SD card she was using couldn't be read by any computer, but images were visible on the K-5.

I tried that corrupted SD Card on my K-1 (with the "read-only" switch on to prevent any new data to be written) and photos were still visible/accessible...

So, I had in idea to use the K-1 wifi connexion on my laptop to download those images, not being sure if what I saw on the K-1 display screen were only "jpeg previews" stored in the actual RAW Files, or the good copies of those files (DNG format)...

Anyways, I was a bit shocked when I discovered that Ricoh/Pentax did not had any Windows OS apps... so after searching a bit on PF about Wifi connexions, I was pleased to find your app...

At the end, connextion and downloads saved saved my daughter's life** (sort of... :) )

Anyways, thanks for that!

However, one of the goals of this reply is also to report the same issue as for @Craigbob

Symptoms: everytime I am willing to close your app, it would hang, and UI stays there... It never terminate. I am getting those "Wifi Commander for Pentax is not responding" error messages.
The "Close the program" or "Wait for the program to respond" options wouldn't work.

I have to reboot my entire computer to clear the app... it wouldn't close otherwise (even if I use the Windows 10 Task Manager to kill the process).

I search a bit on your web page where I should send the debugging info, but couln't figure out...

Some infos:
Windows 10, Build 18362.476
Dell Precision 7520 wit i7-7920HQ CPU , 32Gb RAM, plenty of HD space on SSD 2TB...
(let me know what other info would be required)

so if you have an email, please provide in PM, and I'll forward screenshots and/or logs... (or advise otherwise if I missed what to do in those cases...)

**My daughter will for sure make a donation for this...

I personally thought it was looking as a fish head, like the archaic Bowfin or the invading species, the Snakehead.
