I havn't posted on here for a while, but heres a couple of my more recent shots taken on my 43mm. Easily my favourite lens that I own.

This shot was taken as a 5 shot panoramic between Tumut and Canberra. I actually took a wrong turn on my way home from a site visit for work and drove about 3hrs along a dirt road, it was one of most scenic drives i've been on though and i got home in the end.

This one was also taken on my 43mm, it was the first time i'd properly tried out my new flash, so i'm still trying to get my head around how it all works.

What was your first camera and why did you get it?

My first proper camera was a Panasonic FZ-30 that i got for my 21st, i got it for its long reach because at the time i wanted a camera for surf photography.

Good some good use out of it, but it was fairly noisy at anything above ISO80, so 2 years later i bought a 2nd hand K10D and the DA 55-300. :)

Just got my copy back after i had to send it away - i had some issues focusing to infinity. I'm looking forward to getting back out with it.

Heres some i took before i sent it off for repairs...

Thanks for the kind words.

It's not the most scenic stretch of coast in Australia, but it makes for some interesting photos. It's actually at the entrance to the harbour of one of the largest steelworks in Australia.

Yeah, we do get some good waves along here - theres a wave that breaks between an artificial breakwall and a wave powered generator which is always fun to shoot when its good:)

Haha, yeah, if you can pronounce the names of 10% of the places over here, you're doing pretty well.

Thanks, when i first started out with photography i was really into surf photography. Then started to get more into music - shooting a few small gigs of my mate's bands. Now i do a bit of everything!

Unfortunately i dont get out to take photo's as much as i'd like, but im trying to make time. So i came here for some inspiration, and a few pointers.
