If not a new camera. How about a re-release of parts so we can keep the oldies alive longer. Like my 1918 Kodak self timers are all slow and gummy. If I could find parts maybe I would be happy with that.

I picked number one. It looks closest to a film photograph. It don't have that digital feel to it. How can I put it into words. It had a more natural feel to it. Yeah that's what I'm trying to say and I'm a film only guy and I tend to choose stuff that looks like looking through the naked eye.

What do you think should we start a petition to Pentax to bring back at least two film cameras?

One completely manual for the control freaks and the other a completely electronic for the tech savvy types.

What your thoughts on this idea?

I say yes let's do this. Tell them film is not dead. Let's tell them film is reborn. Let's start a revolution. Let flim be heard.

This my Ghost Dog Georgia. No she not really ghost. It is just me doing a double exposure. I used a 50mm lens and no filters. Totally naked lens. Sorry this was not taken with my Pentax K1000 (I broke it...Sad Day). But it was taken with my 1974 Minolta SRT-101. What do you think? Is it a keeper or what.

To bad I don't have that tool used to scan Negatives and Photos. So I can share my work with the site.

I think if I did that I would have to get a computer to. That is much newer. Then the one I have now.

You would dig the Photos I took from my 4 ponds. From frogs to eagles and everything in between. Alot of them are in black & white. Also a few a them were taking with my old Brownie Golden Hawkeye Camera. I stop using that one, cause the film got to expensive and harder to get.

I think one day I might get modernized....Yeah when I'm dead

This looks like it came from the pond in my yard.

This photograph looks amazing.

Did you use any fliters, what film did you use, did you push or pull the film, or anything else that I can't think of at this moment? If it is digital then I will be totally lost.

I Nominate this photograph.

I don't know if I can name a business here or not. But if you want the name and address of the camera repair shop. Drop a note in my inbox and I make sure you get it.

Also there is a complete camera repair shop in California to. I used them when the Madison location is overbooked. Oh one more thing they both repair lenses as well.

Do you know if Pentax will release a new 35mm? Will it be like the Nikon F6 or the FM 10?

Don't go stay with film. We need film guys to keep film alive.

I'm just poking fun. If you go digital go digital. As for me I know nothing of digital. I just a die hard film guy.

Hello Ron,

I don't think I never talk to a governor before or even a formally a governor. As a matter a fact.

I'm glad to see you here. As you can tell I'm new here as well. I also been a fan of film for many years to.

Do you have a favorite type of format you like to use? I always used the small format. Then one day a family member gives me a homemade pinhole camera? Boy what a learning curve that was.

Hippir

Well let's start off by saying hello. Everyone that knows me calls me Hippie. They use it like my real name, but it's not. They just use it like it is.

Now for the bad news. I'm a Minolta collector. Had to get that out way. So when it comes up I get beat up. Hahaha...

Now the good news I own a real nice looking but not perfect 1988 Hong Kong Pentax K1000. I just picked it up yesterday for a song. At a local bookstore rummage sale. The camera did not come alone. It came with a ton of items. It does need some new light seals, some lube and a deep inside and out cleaning. And that will be sent in to the repair shop in Madison Wisconsin. After I shoot the first roll colour and a roll of black & white film. To see how it performs.

So I do own a Pentax, Now.... Well I do have this other one. That has been packed away since the 1980's. I don't know the model of it anymore. But what I can tell you that it is from the late 1950's to early 1960's. One day I will dig it out. The only thing I remember about that one. Is that the shutter likes to stick open.

Now back to me, that was enough digressing.

I shoot film and only film. I'm not a fan of the digital camera. Yes I do own 2 AF cameras, but they use film so they count. But the rest of mine are all manual cameras. Just like the Pentax K1000.

Besides shooting photos of the family. I do a lot of landscapes and wildlife photos. Also I like to play with other areas to show what a film camera can do. Like time lapse, douple exposed and so on. The kids think that stuff is real neat. And it gets them suck into the film world.

Take my 4 year granddaughter for exsample. She take my 1974 Minolta SRT 101 and take awesome photos. Provided it is on a tripod and set to her height. The camera just a bit to heavy for her tiny hands.

So it goes to show even kids like taking photos.

Well I guess that is all for now. Want to ask me someting go right ahead and ask.
