Hello, I am just curious what range of focal lengths do people have that still use primes? I currently have a 28,50 and 70 I am thinking of picking up the 35 and hoping for the 135 but does the 35 seem redundant?

Kindle Books Pricing

Just remember that every book that amazon or b&n has in electronic form has to be stored electronically, ask Adam how much storage costs are these days. You buy a book once with these vendors and you can download them to as many devices as you have registered with no limit. You can download any book you have ever purchased without rebuying it. The system constantly keeps you current reading position on any book you are reading on any device and can update any copy on any device you have. There is the intellectual copyright that is owed to the author for royalty as well as the cost to the publishers to create the file. I just don't understand how people can be so defensive about a picture they take and at the same time expect to pay nothing for and authors work.

I have to say it has been a pleasure getting to know everyone here and I will miss the interactions. Gene I think we have agreed on some other things before but admittedly not a heck of a lot :) but our disagreements have always been civil.

i cant talk for Gene but i can tell you that one reason that i am questioning my continued support of the forum is that i dont feel that as somoene that is supporting the this website even in a small way that my desires are being heard at all. i know that i am not a mod or anything like that but i would have felt the people that are site supporters could have at least been notified about the section being closed and even asked for their opinions about it. i have to say to me it just left me with a sense of we have no say in it even if we contribute money its decided by a small group of people without a larger sense of input from the forum as a whole and that has made me rethink continued support. i dont have to financially support the site to be a lurker after all. I felt that since i was an active posting member that i should support the forum but as i have said before the vast majority of my posts have been in the P&R section of this forum

I just wanted to say that I will miss this little section of debate and crazy loyalty to ones beliefs. I have been here since the section opened but am not the most prolific poster and have grown to look forward to posts from many of the regulars i tend not to agree with the majority here but i love listening to them argue. I have felt like a minority here (Republican after all) but for the most part have been treated with respect and hope that i have been respectful to my fellow Pentaxians. I will miss this forum as it has kept me informed about things i wasn't aware of and gave me a place to talk about politics with people as passionate about it as i am. Farewell to the experiment it has been a fun ride while it lasted and to the regular posters its been good sparing with you .

The Case For Camera Control

That's right because there are nothing but completely sane people in the Democratic Party you run sanity tests on them every day and make sure that there can never be a member of the party that anyone else may think of as "nuts". Besides didn't you already make a thread saying you we're done with this party of the forums yet you are still here posting wouldn't one think that behavior as a little

Some would say all the more reason that laws should be made by cool heads away from the passion of an event. Passion has been used to drive this nation to war it has been used to curtail liberties before and now it may once again be used to curtail your rights under the Constitution.

Where will you go when P&R closes?

Why as a site support do I not belong here as I come here and my most visited section is the P&R area ? I don't post in other areas because when I did I got flamed by all of my fellow forum members and being nothing but a snapshoter and not a serious photographer. I lurk the other areas but will never post there because of the this attitude towards "non serious" photographers. I will miss the P&R section even though I may not have the same political views as 99% of the other posters they were still for the most part entertaining to read and argue with on occasion with. I will admit I will rethink my continued support of this website as a result of its closure if I am going to nothing but a lurker on the site why support it? Just my two cents about this.

First off just let me say that time is a social construct of man in order for him to make sense of what he sees and how things pass from one rise of the sun till the next. There is no universal unit of time our concept of how old things are are based on our construct based on this planet. As you can see below if our civilization evolved on another planet our concepts of what time is and the age of all things would be different.
Mercury 87.96 Earth days 58.7 Earth days
Venus. 224.68 Earth days 243 Earth days
Earth. 365.26 days 24 hours
Mars 686.98 Earth days 24.6 Earth hours
Jupiter 11.862 Earth years 9.84 Earth hours
Saturn 29.456 Earth years 10.2 Earth hours
Uranus 84.07 Earth years 17.9 Earth hours
Neptune 164.81 Earth years 19.1 Earth hours
Pluto (a dwarf planet) 247.7 years 6.39 Earth days

Ok that's my contribution to this thread but in parting I do find it funny that everyone attacks the Judeo/Christian belief structures in these types of threads but never hear a word critical of Islam or any other religion that has a creation story if you must attack faith please attack all faith not just the Judeo/Christian faiths.

Republicans and "free markets"

Ok once again where in the article does it mention the Republican Party? The Justice Department last time I checked was run by Holder (clearly run by Democrats) no affiliation with the Republican Party. Does every single article in the universe that has to do with business automatically make it Republican? Stop the sensationalizing of your threads by putting Republican in every title to simply make ever anti-Republican member on this board feel that they will have to post in them.

Are you really such a horrible person that your only response is good riddance when another human being feels so distraught over something that the only way he sees out of the situation is to end his life? If that is how you really feel I don't know who to have more compassion for. :(. What's worse is that 35 other people read this and your attitude and none called you out on it

Voting Machines Romney Rigged

Blah blah blah no different then when the same machines had to be "calibrated" when they registered O'bama when voting for Romney.
. Take, for example, the experience of Joan Stevens of Marion, Ohio, who says it took her three tries to cast her vote for Mitt Romney because the machine kept switching her vote to Barack Obama.
Voting machines switch Romney votes to Obama
