My goodness that's a low count for a 15yr old camera! Hope you get that stuck AF/MF switch resolved - could you try contact spray?

Could perhaps try warming the image slightly (less blue), to bring out the colour in the lefthand rocks, but totally a personal preference.

Yeah, try cropping the top and bottom of the image - makes a pretty effective letterbox/panorama format.

Lighting is pretty spot on I reckon. Love that the lighting effect is so different in the reflection.

Agree on the composition. Re post-processing - needs more contrast, and try adjusting the highlights/shadows to pick out more detail in the wave.
