Attachment 160672I forgot I had taken a few shots of the xmas tree decorated with mult-colored lights. I took the shot because of the prism created on the open door. I found this intriquing.

People old ford

i like the composition of this photo. If the Ford was the intended subject you missed. I believe the true focus of the shot was the man. The framing leads the eye of the viewer from left to right which incorporates two subjects for the viewer to see . Although this might not have been your intention it's a fun picture to keep. Had the Ford been the focus and the man out of focus that would not be the case IMHO.

HDR Night Shot Setting ?

I was reading a thread on Ugly Hedgehog forum regarding the Canon 4ti.
and quote: "You mentioned noise at low light levels....Well, let me tell you....I can not think of the name for the setting right now but,
You hold the shutter down and it takes 4 rapid shots, combines them and in 2 seconds you get a sharp, well exposed, no noise, night photo.
When she showed that to me I was - WOW. Great night shots without a tripod... "
another forum member "Yes, it does in-camera HDR (shoots 3 shots and combines them into one) -- and does a really good job at it too! My 40D can't do that!! "

Is there a Pentax DSLR with this setting option?

Nov. 2nd feels right for me. Would be cool to get together every couple of months. If it has a shutter button I shoot it. Often with a .357 ... just kidding. I have a K-m and a new 16 card to load. -stv.

Black & White Boat on land

The photograph appears to have been taken looking uphill which lacks foreground. The dark sky overwhelms and I would crop 20 to 25 % off the top to give the photo a more balanced look as the boat I assume it the focus of the work. I would do the same to the color photo as well -my favorite to the two. Nice treatment to the scene btw.
