Nice tonal scale, Huss. I think that film likes the DF96 developer more than the 400TX does. Is that Lomo Fantome 6 a tabular grain film?

An update.

Just got a surprise package in the mail from a good friend who knows I'm into film photography. Included in it is this like new (plastic still on the bottom!) Minolta X700.
Already loaded with film, dry firing through all the speeds etc showed no issues.

New to me, I'm now a member of the Foveon club. It's pretty cool camera, digging the images it's creating.

Edit, the only problem with this camera is that now I REALLY want a copy of the APS-H version where you can change the lens. Sounds like it was a flop and hard to find now.... :/

My recently acquired Contax IIIa and Zeiss Sonnar 50/1.5 next to my Soviet built Kiev-2a and Jupiter-8 50/2. The Kiev and Jupiter-8 are essentially a Contax II and Zeiss Sonnar 50/2 so these cameras are kinda like first cousin.
They are sitting on a Japanese styled bench that I made using only hand tools (no power tools) way back in 2007.

I have a Great Camera Club / Flickr friend who buys gear at Car Boot Sales and sometimes GIVES me cameras he has bought ! I gave me a COSINA CSM M42 screw mount and i have taken some test shots with it and tried PENTAX M42 lenses with it. I had to renew the foam seal along the film track and door. It has a strange 'Double-Action' stop-down and as you press shutter release it stops lens down and LED's come on at top and you turn Aperture until you get a GREEN LED then exposure is supposed to be balanced.

I've a couple of older Pentax that are still film worthy. My H1a has a 55mm f/2 semi-auto Takumar lens and with it the 35mm f/3.5 semi-auto Takumar. The second camera is a Pentax SV with a 55mm f/1.8 Super-Takumar and the clip-on meter all in good working condition.

This body sort of just had to be bought. And then I found an orphaned finder waiting for a new home...

The smc Pentax-A sure looks handsome. To bad the LX cannot benefit from the A-setting on the lens.

This made me laugh! I recognize myself so much in this statement. A Nikon FM2/T is heading my way in the next few days. Heaven knows when I am going to use it when I have so much other lovely stuff!

Replacement Leatherette pictures

Well Maxi sat naked on my desk for a couple of weeks while waiting for the leatherette to come from North America. Turned up today so we are now re-covered.

The lens is the refinished M40 classic shown previously. I like the finish in refurbished leatherette two tones red crocodile - Not as in your face as a plain red. The shade of red matches the red trims on some of the lenses. Asahi red. The bad rusting and paint loss on the film door I sanded back to metal and enameled with black lacquer nail polish. Flows on smoothly and drys smooth and glossy.
