That's a very negative outlook, not borne out by anything. There could be politeness out of fear, but there could also be politeness because decent people actually feel better when they treat others right. The same is said about altruism. Altruistic people are happier than selfish people.

This is way to close to politics, let's stop before the thread gets locked. Especially since it has absolutely nothing to do with the title of the thread.

Here's a pano taken with the 18 - 135 of the late sunset over the Schildmeer on a nice and calm evening. I like the little clouds as well as the colours and reflections.

I was skeptical to it at first. The truth is that the 55-300PLM is the best ever Pentax lens when factors such as performance, convenience, size, weight and price are being taken into consideration....

A few shots from a recent trip to Arizona before the current crisis. First is the Phoenix Mountain Park at sunrise. The second is the Usery Mt. Regional Park in Mesa. Third is the Tempe Riverfront. All shot with FA35mm.

With all this social distancing and what-not, I'm sharing some pictures I took on a trip to Namibia last year. Planning to go back this year, but our flights may not exist anymore :-(

Enjoy these and comments are welcome.

This picture of the whale breaching was taken with my KP (did not have the 645 with me on the boat)

The world is truly beautiful. Hope we can keep it that way.

"Work" three days a week is sitting down at a desk in the corner of my apartment these days. I'm not complaining, I know it's a privilege, but I need to let off some steam first. I've been riding around for about an hour before sitting down at that desk each morning, as a replacement for the usual commute.

There are lots of other people out there on the canals with the same idea. I've never seen so many people exercising outdoors before. I guess many of them used to be tucked away in gyms. I could never understand why someone would sit and pedal in place in a sweaty, loud room when the outside world exists...

I like the idea of something in the 20s for the wide lens. We already have the FA 31 limited and Sigma 35mm f1.4 and the DFA 35 f2. Feels like it is the 20s where we have a bigger need for a new prime.

Hey - I'm OK...thanks for checking in. Ed reached out and I do apologize for my absence of late - it's a combination of work and family life that has pulled me from takin' pictures and being on my favorite web forum.

Before I forget, tuco, that BW series of bridges and rocky beaches is simply mesmerizing!! well done and keep them coming if you have more.

So, last night, i finally put a battery in my camera and drove due north until it got dark, took out camera and pressed the little button a few times. It felt so good!
I got this shot of one of the old brides along the California Delta...there are dozens, if not 100+ steel or concrete bridges like this one.

From last fall at Letchworth State Park in western New York state. Small stream entering the gorge and the Middle Falls. The Middle Falls is 107 feet (33 meters) tall. Gotta love image stabilization. Both shots at 1/6 second using the D FA 28-105mm lens.
