This is in Northern Nevada close to the Oregon border. I can't believe the amount of work it must have been to move all those rocks around.

HD Pentax DFA645 Macro 1:2.8 90mm ED AW SR - problem shake reduction broken

Mine gives me one quick buzz at startup. I have mine set at option #2 in #28 of the "C" menu so shake reduction comes on when I 1/2 press the shutter button. Option #1 has it come on at the moment of capture which may be why you don't see it as being on when looking at the screen.

The movement is before the shutter goes after I press the release. It's better when I tether since I release the shutter through Lightroom.

I was trying to calibrate the focus of my lens and nothing was sharp with a 2 second delay. My hand held was way better. I put it on live view fully magnified with focus peaking and it takes 9-10 seconds before all the movement stops.

I found with my 90mm macro if I don't use the 12 second delay on the tripod that the pictures are soft with the SR off or on. With the 12 second delay they are amazingly sharp. Maybe that's something to try.

Many Moons

Hi raff89,
Sometime ago maybe in November or December, I took an in camera composite of a Supermoon. The problem was is that is was traveling vertically up into the sky. So I opened the picture in Photoshop and rotated the moons horizontally and then used a perspective warp to add the arc. During the latest super blood moon I was on the California coast and got some decent pictures of the moon over the ocean. So I combined the 1st picture with the 2nd picture in photoshop and actually didn't use the 2nd moon shot just the ocean. After this I opened the file in Lightroom and used the Brush tool to lighten the exposure underneath the moons to resemble the cool reflections. Hope this explains it ok.

The Reno Arch is an iconic landmark and a popular tourist destination. This is a view of Reno facing north through the Arch taken right after New Years day, 2018, in surprisingly warm winter weather.

Usually on those ads there is no camera and the seller will tell you to western union the money instead of PayPal or a credit card so you have no protection. They list a lot of stuff so cheap people can't resist the deal and just lose their money.

I was just poking around the Ricoh JP site and noticed a new firmware version 1.30 for the 645Z. Dated 6/29/2017.
Here is a link.

It lets you adjust the monitor brightness and also lets you change the color to red for better night vision.

That's a good picture. At 336 yards it's amazing. I'm going to have to work on my technique a little more for wildlife. Probably better stabilization will help.

The bird flew right over and landed in the field next to where we were at. There were 8 or 9 buzzards flying around above us and that's what the Eagle was looking at.
