Gilmour's About Face 1984 tour was my first concert of choice. There were a few concerts my parents had taken us along to see. But, June 11, 1984, an evening with a few friends and "the guitarist from Pink Floyd"... Fantastic!

Heck, for $10, I'm not sure this qualifies as CBA. No Pentaxian could pass on a deal such as this!

I'm a huge fan of Jeff Beck, also. With contributions from Jeff on Box of Frogs and his album Flash, these were some of his first albums I bought when I was younger and then I went back to his older stuff to continue expanding my collection.

Yes. That entire album is a great example of their harmonies and lyrics. One of my favorites from 1989.

I'm revisiting Pat Benatar's library today having just finished listening to her first four albums.

I listened to some of this album much earlier today and it's not bad.
Ultimately, it made me really miss the early years of Stone Temple Pilots. Even Velvet Revolver was pretty good.

Recently I was walking around taking pictures of my daughter playing softball when I man stopped me: "Excuse me. What kind of camera is that?" I held up my K10 with a battery grip and Pentax neck strap and replied, "It's a Pentax.
Now, I admit I do not possess the patience required to have also told him its probably 15 years old and does not accept text messages.

I recently had a brief run of bad luck which brought about damage to a K10, a K20, and a K5. These events did help bring me back to the forum after being away for sometime. The K5 survived but I did end up buying a used K10 from a member here as well as another K10 and a K20 from KEH.

K-7 Appreciation - The Forefather Forgotten

My K7 crapped out on me before 100,000 shutter count. If I remember it was only in the high 80,000. My first K10 made it just beyond 100,000.
I do agree that the K7 resolved some images through some lenses better than the K10. I could see an improvement in some lenses with the K7 while others seem nice with the K10.
I remember when I started using the digital filters built in the software of the K7. I really liked the instant, in camera treatments with the monochrome "infrared" filter and the filter to remove certain colors from the image. I don't like to fuss with images a lot in post production flow so the in camera filters were fun sometimes for instant gratification.
Today, I do own a K5 but I do have fond memories of using a K7.

Painfully void of any Decemberists albums but Fever To Tell has a few tracks good enough.
Band of Skulls or Rival Sons could be on your list if you give them a chance.

I just heard something the other day about Mick Jagger saying The Rolling Stones will no longer play "Brown Sugar" in concerts. And now the terrorists have won.
Here a little bit of my mental disorder. Last year my laptop dumped many of my music files from iTunes. Like, the programing could not find the path to the file folders and a large amount of the music I had ripped from discs to iTunes was not accessible. My remedy was to buy a new laptop and rebuild the library. Like some guys rebuild the car motors or remodel their kitchens, well I reorganize and rip music files from cds and hard drives and sort of stroke my collection. So also, as a result, I'm going through my vinyl records and compact discs and challenging myself to pick my favorite five albums from each year, beginning with the year I was born. I post this shit on Facebook and have brief discussions with friends of course. Anyway, I started the five favorite albums released in year XXXX several months ago and am currently bragging about the year 2000. My five favorite albums released in 2000. So I recall a few albums released in a particular year, and I will confirm the release date of some albums one way or another and narrow my list down to just five for a real challenge. I don't dare order the five releases, I just believe these five are better than the others. Then to make my end of the year summary on Spotify a little different this year, I go back and listen to those five albums plus five runner ups albums released in that given year. My pace is about three different years per week.
Which means today I listened to Mer De Noms-A Perfect Circle, Standing On The Shoulders of Giants-Oasis, Live At The Greek-Jimmy Page & The Black Crows, Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live-Pink Floyd, Live-Alice In Chains, and Warning-Green Day.

Most of my library on my iPhone is complete albums. I do have single songs that were downloaded or taken from an album and made into some sort of compilation. I have a 256 gb Iphone and purposely limit it's hard drive to music files. I have very few apps, I do not often use it to take videos or pictures, and I will never use it to take the place of monetary transactions. It's for calling, texting, storing and listening to music and accessing the Internet. 29,284 songs currently.
Itunes used to break it down into total number of albums, total number of artists, total days worth of music. Now I can only easily see total number of songs.
I think my 32gb iPod has a little more than 7,000 songs.

Decorating time: how do you play your music? (Tape | Vinyl | MP3 | Streaming | Other)

I posted a few images of my music library on "...Other Hobbies"
My music collection is large, but my audio equipment is standard. I have never been very particular... Hold on. I can't really say that as price has always been an area to consider with my equipment, which was always Kenwood or Pioneer component pieces for home audio. I have Sanyo home audio now. Turntable, dual cassette deck, tuner. I also have a digital disc recorder so I can copy bit per bit analog or digital audio source to a compact disc. Comes in handy for many albums that are out of print or getting the sounds of nostalgia onto an iPhone. And for simple convenience, I have a Bluetooth dongle connected to an auxiliary port of my home stereo so I can change the mood and the music without even being in the same room as the stereo or let my kids listen to their Spotify playlists properly.
I get annoyed quickly with the compressed signals of satellite radio so again, I also have Bluetooth connections or auxiliary cord connection in all my vehicles to access the 30,000 songs I have stuffed in my iPhone.
I do listen to the free version of Spotify and have several wireless Bluetooth speakers. I have two small Vanzon X5 speakers. Here is my thing with these speakers. They are true stereo. Not a stereo-ized sound. There is a left channel and a right channel. Depending on the recording, there are vocals and instruments in one channel and other instruments in the other channel. Not all synchronized wireless speakers are like this. Some play the same sounds in both speakers. All you have to do is listen to "Whole Lotta Love" or any Pink Floyd to test your set of synchronized wireless speakers. I also have an Oontz Angle and a jawbreaker size bluetooth for work work, one of those big orange Job Rockers for outside work, an iHome speaker in the shower, and a Bugani I play music through at hockey sometimes.
I have a few nice pairs of ear buds and a few low budget wireless, Bluetooth headphones. Some old school Radio Shack headphones for the basement stereo Bat Cave.
Also another pro-tip: if you listen to Spotify on a platform other than portable devices such as phones, you can listen to entire albums in sequence. Use your laptop or tablet to listen to even the free version of Spotify and you can listen to any album in its entirety. The ads interrupting the more thematic, conceptual albums get a bit annoying but that why I still have complete access to thousands of physical copies of albums as a primary source of pleasure.

I love listening and collecting and taking an interest in music.
My collection has thousands of vinyl records, thousands of compact discs, hundreds of cassettes, tens of 8-track tapes, and a large hard drive of “archived” music files.
I probably still have 95% of every record and cd I ever bought. Music, for me, is almost a religion.
Roller hockey. I’ve played roller hockey since the early 1990’s and still play four hours a week; six hours occasionally.
We’ve played tournaments all over the mid-west. I love it!

I recently de-acquired a K20. Damn lens mount on the body tore right out. Anyone have any experience reinforcing stripped screw mounts that hold the lens mount ring to the body?
Maybe I'll try carefully filling the stripped screw mounts with super glue.
