Holdfast Moneymaker

You could, maybe.

Matt (owner of Holdfast) is a stand-up guy and fellow photographer that stands behind his company and his product 100%. He's vested a lot of himself into developing the Moneymaker. I love mine; it's a top notch product, and they're popular among wedding photographers for a reason.

You could ask someone to rip off his design to "save a few bucks", but I only ask that you consider the ethics involved in such. That's all.

I have one and love it! I wear my K5iis w/ grip on my right side, and I have an Ona Bowery with lenses hooked to my left side. It's a back-saver for those extra long wedding days.

Yeah, the 30mm Sigma is not FF compatible though.

HOWEVER

Sigma recently announced the FF Sigma 24mm f1.4 ART which will hopefully be available for Pentax. Eventually.

The DA* 55mm isn't all that big and heavy compared to its big brother, the FA* 85mm. Now THAT'S a big lens, even without WR and SDM. Honestly though, lens size isn't the biggest (pun intended) factor when I'm choosing a lens to take portraits with on a session. I just pick the best lens for the job.

Pentax F 85mm F1.4 or Pentax FA 77mm F1.8

Yes, the FA* 85mm is big compared to 77mm Limited, but it's not big compared to other lenses of its caliber, such as the Canon 85mm f1.2 L or even the Otus 85mm, or the Sigma 85mm. It even weighs less than the Nikon 85mm f1.4

I debated for months about these two lenses, and finally decided on the FA* 85mm. Yes, it's long (on my K5iis) and yes, it's big and heavy, but it's a fantastic lens. I don't regret my decision at all.

I want something wide and fast (24ish f1.4) but I want a FF to mount it on. It'll be a Nikon or Pentax, depending on what Ricoh does this year.
