Mattias Burling regrets selling his KP

Don't regret buying my KP just over a year ago, when my K10d died on me. I may possibly have gone for the K3iii if it had been out by then but may have been put off by the price. Still very happy with the KP though, with the small grip and a Peak Design clutch strap just sits in my had whilst out walking. I bought a battery grip when the KP was discontinued but rarely use this. Nice to have it there though when I want a bit more battery life, or doing lots of portraits.

Bought the new Kindle Paperwhite...

The big advantage of a reader is that in the UK you can hook up to a local library and borrow a book (download it). You get to use it for a couple of weeks and can usually extend if no-one else is waiting for it. They don't have everything, but usually a very good selection. You often have to reserve popular books (it just appears on your device when it becomes available). The result is that I am never short of a read even when travelling on our boat. I do still like a real paper book from time to time though. I use Kindle & Borrowbox (for library books) on an iPad.

Here is my interpretation.
I can't comment on the car models but the left hand foreground one seems to have some added ventilation/bullet holes.

That is a great choice. I bought a new KP when my K10d died on me and it's just brilliant.
One tip, if you change the clarity setting from the default value, it will do processing and writing to the card before allowing the next shot. Haven't found any other settings that cause this (yet).

As you are in the UK I can recommend Park Cameras (London & Burgess Hill) for 2nd hand lenses. Had a couple of lenses from them (by post) and both been excellent, and backed up by 6 month warranty. They usually have a fair selection of Pentax lenses.

Which peak design strap?

I also tend to go for the wrap around the wrist (with the standard Pentax strap) when out walking, but since getting my KP found it hard to get both comfortable and secure. Found it best with the medium grip. Solution for me was the PD clutch. This works fine for me and lets me keep the small grip on the kp. I did consider the Pentax version but just couldn’t get one so went for the PD instead.

Just playing with Affinity photo for iPad. Not as intuitive as the desktop version but fun to see what it will do.

Ok time to wrap this one up. Thanks everyone for having a go and producing some interesting variations.
Well done to Fdooch and Kerrowdown for adding a bit of interest. Noelcmn's mono version was a very different take on the theme, liked that one a lot.
Also liked the subtle approach by jmacias, but I think overall my favourite for the winning slot was by mariwalt with that really tormented sky.

Unfortunately mariwalt is unable to do the next challenge. Have put a request to noelcmn instead. Watch this space.

Is it a case that the contacts were standing proud of the mount allowing them (or it) to be ripped off when the lens was fitted or removed? Maybe a case to check the contacts before fitting (sorry that's not much help in your case). Did you locate the broken parts. Wouldn't want a bit of brass tab floating around in your camera.

Thanks for everyone's concern for my KP's sensor. This was taken a few months ago and my KP has had a wash since. I left the marks as this is a PP challenge. Some nice entries so far.

Thanks Frank for choosing my entry from last week.
For this week's challenge I have gone for a sunset cloudscape. Looks a little plain to start with but there is plenty to play with.

The files can be found here

Will let this run until Friday 12th Nov. Have fun.

Thanks for the vote Frank. It was very nearly a beachball, but I am glad I went for flowers in the end.
Will post the next one as soon as I find something.

I think you have done a pretty good job here especially for a first try. I agree with all of the previous comments, and would suggest a lighter background. It has been a long time since I did any of this but one tip I learned was to do a bunch of shots first that you never intend to use (even without a film in the camera in those days). Then start on the ones you want to use. That way the subject gets a little bored with the posing and you end up with more natural poses and expressions (but don't overdo it of course!).
