I bought and changed APSC Pentax cameras chronologically, every 2 ~ 3 years and bought new APSC lenses, as I bought a new K1 in 2019 now after 4 years of using it I decided not to change the camera for the next 10 years, unlike the APSC series when I bought new lenses for K1 I bought all ff used lenses , and F and FA and DFA series
(and some of the alternative manufacturers, probably older than the FA era) , I am confident that I will continue to buy used K mount af lenses

if Tokina doesn't do lenses with K mount and I use a camera with such a thread then I see no reason and need to mention Tokina in any parallel with Pentax, like talking about Sigma having 150-600 / 5-6,3 Leica and Sony mount, hey what does that have to do with Pentax and K mount, neither Tokina nor Sigma has anything to do with Pentax at the moment, so in the topic about Pentax Tokina is dead, maybe under various things about Tokina lenses, but there is no point in the Pentax theme, only in the sense of the old glory of Tokin's lentils in K mount

from the list my attention was drawn to fx for Nikon 70-200 / 4, I used on APSC Pentax: Pentax DA*50-135 / 2.8 + DA12-24 / 4 + DFA100 / 2.8 macro wr,but that was 4 years ago, so Tokina is dead in af K mount just like Sigma and Tamron, it's nothing new, nothing

when I convert 230 euros that's 190 pounds, I'm 2 years old AF540FGZll in Pentax tarpaulin bag without original packaging and accompanying literature paid so much, a new one locally costs me 490 euros or 410 pounds, DFA 28-105 / 3.5-5.6 new is 540 euros or 450 pounds locally for me and I bought a 3.5 year old in the original packaging (as new) for 300 euros or 250 pounds, i don't see any disruption in my domestic market, only the Pentax equipment dealer not in stock camers or lenses , he is before used to have and I could borrow and try them out (we are friends at home)

you think I did well with the purchase,
unfortunately the AF540FGZ ll does not have the original packaging, only a tarpaulin Pentax bag,
while with DFA 28-105 / 3.5-5.6 I got everything like new from the store :o

yet that Ricoh releases the new DFA 70-320 / 4.5-5.6 ED SDM WR in the tradition as long ago Pentax FA80-320 / 4.5-5.6 :hmm:

a colleague last year left the Pentax K1 and moved on to Fuji and I managed to buy a AF540FGZ ll 2 years old from him for approx. 230 euros, without the original packaging, another acquaintance from Pentax K1 switched to Sony
and last week sold me a DFA28-105 / 3.5-5,6, age approx. 3.5 years for approx. 300 euros, in the original packaging, both purchased elements super preserved and used for personal needs, I have been selling AF360FGZ locally for months in the original packaging + diffuser all in very good condition for approx. 120 euros and no one even calls to ask for information

but yes, about 7 years ago I bought a Pentax F28 / 2.8 locally for about 80 euros, new, brought by a returnee from America and forgot in the closet for the next 20 years (he used only F35-105 / 3.5-4.5+ F 50/1,7) , from ebay from Japan 4 years ago bought in great condition Pentax ,silver, FA 80-320 / 4.5-5.6 for 90 euros, bought 8 years ago F35-70 / 3,5-4,5 for 30 euros and I sold it for that much, now it is sold locally for 80 euros, 10 years ago on ebay from America I bought F28-80 / 3,5- 4.5 (not Takumar) for $ 50 I can now buy it locally for $ 65

so everything is relative,

mostly with me the Pentax market is very weak with a small offer as well as with a small number of Pentax users, when they see me using Pentax they act either with awe or with contempt, but I don't care about any of them I enjoy taking photos with Pentax and write comments here on the forum

I had a problem with hunting focus in infinity but also unstable focus through the range, it was about FA 80-320 / 4.5-5.6, here on the forum I found a topic on how to solve it mechanically, it was necessary to disassemble the first moving part lens, I successfully solved the problem by the work to the acording their instructions ,now FA 80-320 works normally

once Pentax had FA * 28-70 / 2.8 + 80-200 / 2.8 + 250-600 / 5.6
once Pentax had FA 24-90 / 3.5-4.5 + 28-70 / 4 + 28-105 / 4-5.6 + 80-320 / 4.5-5.6 (silver) + 100- 300 / 4.7-5.8
Pentax used to have: FA * 24/2 + 85 / 1.4 + Limited31 / 1.8 + 43 / 1.9 + 77 / 1.8 + 200 / 2.8 + 300 / 2.8
Pentax used to have: FA20 / 2.8 + 28 / 2.8 + 35/2 + 50 / 1.4 ~ 1.7 + 100 / 2.8 + 135 / 2.8
in this hastily downloaded selection of FF lens list there is no ultimate approach to shopping, the user is given a choice
I was really looking forward to, for example, DFA 60-250 / 4 ED SDM WR for the price of the current DFA 70-210 / 4, unfortunately I did not receive it like the vast majority of other Pentax users
today's pace and way of life is accelerated in every way, it would be nice if Pentax is in that rut that follows the current pace and way of life, if it does not follow that pace and is not in that rut then the vast majority of camera users see it as exotic photo equipment compares to canikosony that follow trends for most photo equipment consumers

I repeat, and I know that you, sir, know that DA 60-250 / 4 can not be bought as an FF lens nor is it intended for sale in the FF system, the fact that I and you are members of the Pentax forum, so we are familiar with some possibilities with for some lenses, end users do not know or can not buy that lens for the FF system under that nam

I talk all the time as someone who is not as a member familiar with the benefits of using this Pentax forum (ordinary unknown user Pentax equipment)

and I used Sigma 70-300 / 4-5,6 APO DG Macro as the first telezoom - replaced with DA55-300, I also used Sigma 18-125 / 3,5-5,6 DC - replaced with DA17-70 /4 :)

sir normhead just claim what I said, nothing else, that Pentax still lives on the old glory of FA lenses + new in small quantities and very slow release time which is not enough to attract new users and as far as I personally see it to keep most of the old ones, there are around me as the last Mohicans, why do you intentionally mix FA / DFA lenses with DA lenses, those lenses are not for the same format, I can use but with big compromises, I repeat that it is not, I can not put DA 55-300 on my K1 and be happy because I can't use it completely as a whole, I have to use FA 80-320 (silver) with a compromise known to me both in optics and focusing, because I have no alternative, ie I have no DFA in that class / range, I repeat that it is by no means YES 55-300 which I have successfully used in APSC format and I know its capabilities, as I used DA17-70 / 4 in APSC but again I repeat such a range or at least approximate I do not have in FF, mixing APSC format which has a super covered range of 11mm to 300mm with FF format that I talk about all the time just trying to deny my claim but you successfully confirm what I am writing

I, as a long-term user, understand! no one minimizes Pentax's progress, and these lenses are dedicated lenses and the newcomer will certainly not buy them for a start, but Pentax does not have the range that existed in the FA series with a variable aperture that would be useful for any new user to start / start eg: 24-90 / 28-80 / 80-200 / 80-320 or a new one that Pentax has never had in its FA range 28-125 / 24-105,
how can someone new be attracted to buy to start K1 (ll) + DFA * 50 / 1.5 + DFA * + 85 / 1.4 + DFA * 70-200 / 2.8 (DFA 24-70 / 2.8 + DFA 70-210 / 4 in others systems have a cheaper equivalent, and the original is not much more expensive)

yes, all right, but they (canikosony) were at the time of the discontinuation of DSLR technology the level that Pentax reached and not completely after a few years as they left that level reached (caf / memory card write speed / issue speed new lenses / distribution sales and service network), if they (canikosony) return to the abandoned level of DSLR they will continue at the already high level plus experience from the "abandoned field",
Pentax has a bright future ahead only if old and especially new users do not feel that Pentax is lagging behind and chasing the competition and relies mostly on the old glory of M / A / F / FA lenses, and some individual characteristics that the competition does not have

hanging out with amateur photography friends like me (who don’t make a living from photography) I convinced myself a few of them switched from the started with they Pentax on Nikon or Canon and less to Sony, for the reasons mentioned above, here’s the last I talked to him about switching from Pentax to Sony (this time luckily for me because he will sell me DFA28-105), I was unlucky that someone in the last 4 years boasted that he switched from canikosony to Pentax to have more of us and I have a feeling that I am the last Mohican among photographic acquaintances who continues to use Pentax (satisfied and happy last Mohican)

means those who are totally indecisive will still wait for DFA 24 (28) -105/4 ED SDM AW which will have all the qualities of DFA 24-70 / 2,8 + DFA28-105 / 3.5-5.6 with a price less than of the former and greater than the latter mentioned :p as well as those undecided between 70-200 / 2.8 + 70-210 / 4 who are waiting for DFA 70-320 (55-300)/ 4.5-5.6 ED SDM WR (original Pentax design) who will have all the best of both also with a price less than of the former and greater than the latter mentioned ( due to the original Pentax design and f4.5 to 200mm, of course both with internal focusing and internal zoom) :D

if Pentax starts with a new manual focus camera shouldn't it be for him and his accompanying lenses / adapted for this type of use,

so Pentax to this day does not have its own lenses e.g. in ff: dfa * 24-70 / 2,8 + dfa24-120/ 4 + dfa70-200 / 4 + dfa70-300 / 4,5-5,6 + dfa250-600/5,6 (please, I do not count rebranded other people's lenses), thank God for the replacement in the apsc-u for da * 16-50 / 2.8 and it is still waiting with the same characteristics and for da* 50-135 / 2.8

now to start with new manual lenses, I think that would be an MISSION IMPOSSIBLE for Pentax, in which Tom Cruise as the main protagonist in any form would not help either

a new body without accompanying lenses makes no sense especially when the necessary new lenses come out very slowly for existing bodies

5 ~ 6 years ago with K30+F50/1,7 all without flash without the possibility of long framing when shooting (I'm not sure because I used F28 / 2.8 in parallel) :
now I have K1 + F28 / 2.8 + F50 / 1.7 but now there are no more events like this

now imagine these photos with K1 + F50 / 1.7 or F28/2,8, I think I'm sure they would be better

hello "house old", knowing you and your specifics I don't think DFA lenses are for you, primarily I mean because of their way of autofocus i.e.KAF4, You use either a screwdriver or a manual focus, or something has changed lately since we haven't heard or seen each other,, nice greetings, have you maybe switched to DSLR FF Pentax :D

only in crop mod, as on the K5 with improved / more confident / determined AF and better ISO (as if you from K1 made K5 with perfect characteristics) - of course i mean in apsc mode
