Focus is so critical as is making sure all things are properly aligned.

They work really well with the O-3DV1

I seriously considered buying one but it was a terrible hold. I couldn’t find a way to get a comfortable grip. I looked at it many times too. An EVF would have also been nice but that wasn’t the deal breaker in the same way the feel was.

My journey into stereo photography stared with my old Optio 230. That had a built in chacha setting to make a stereogram, and I have some fun pictures of my daughters. Barbie getting her hair don’t by Bob the builder. 18 years after, I have the stereogram attachment for a 50mm lens and tried it a number of times. I struggle with getting the images to work well. I also don’t like the fuzzy centre like. I am wondering if there are any folk that use this a bunch and might have some “important to remember” advice.

My biggest issue is the condensation on the cold kit bringing it in, and no I will not leave it in the car, Best trick I have used is to put all I can in bags outside, then bring the stuff in and put it in thee refrigerator for a few hours. then bring it in to the house for a few more hours before finally taking kit out of the ziplock bags. Photo was taken late night in Canmore AB. Temperature was -35c. After, yes, the camera and lens went strait into the ziplock and then the fridge

Pentax ME Super only firing at 125 (I think)

Oh boy it’s been a while since I ran my ME. Yes, the 1/125s is the fixed shutter speed when the batteries are dead or removed or when set to 125X. Doible check the dial on top. Then try M and see if the buttons work. I suspect it’s set to 125x or you have an electrical problem. If electrical, I would check those batteries first. Finding a good set LR44s can be challenging.

Friday I found I had the dreaded aperture actuator failure. Oh nooooo! After watching the video, I found a set of JIS. scredrivers online and ordered next day delivery. They arrived early Sunday morning. Sunday is a work day so everything sat in the dining room until Monday. Called for a repair quote on Monday morning and was told, minimum $185 Cdn plus tax and parts. Nope. That is worth me having a go on my own and if I fail, I send it off and it still costs me $185. And I already had the screwdrivers. ( Get the right screwdrivers! What a difference from philips drivers) I watched the video again and then had at it. 56 minutes later my K50 is back together and working. While it is gentle work, it is really easy! Now for how long will it stay working? The real problem is that I also have a K1 so the 50 now gets very little use; And that is why it had the actuator problem.

My advice, if you are at all handy, fix this your self. You have nothing to lose and in my case, $180, less the cost of the screwdrivers to save. As a side benefit I now have a nice set of JIS screwdrivers, for the next problem or to tackle a lens i need to clean.

I love my SF1. So now have two of them. It is just the right size for my hand to grip. Usually stuff is too small or lots too big. I have one winterized with the battery pack that you keep in your coat and run the cord out your sleeve. Used that to take aurora photos in Yukon. Pictures are great too. The cameras hardly get used now that I have digital. Sad because I really do like them.

I have a Cullmann travel set that has a clamp, tripod, ground peg, suction cup, and wood screw. They all interconnect. Works great. Mine is from 1982! They recently redesigned a bunch of their parts. I don't know how good the new one is.

Greetings all
I have been reading the reviews for a while and decided it was time to jump in. Funny thing this Pentax addiction. Just when I think it is time to ditch it all something comes along that feeds the fire. I have a hodgepodge other geer and a partner that works in a second hand store. That connection has been my lba lifeline and has yielded some great finds, from some mint M series bodies to a collection of lenses that now range from 17mm fisheye to 320mm. It is amazing what people get rid of cheep! I also have some canon and Minolta geer just for fun, but it never gets used. The picture quality of the Pentax always wins. Let's hope the fun never ends
