My advice is, go with the Sony a7ii if you can find one around your budget.

For the Pentax lenses my advice is for you to get a “dumb” connector like this: Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter with Aperture Control: Amazon.co.uk: Camera & Photo.
It will let you use any Pentax lens with or without aperture ring.

Do I NEED a full frame camera? (Please help with arguments either way...)

For the interior photo taking with low light, my advice is:

1 – learn how to use flash better, as you say “I have a flash, Pentax AF-360FGZ, and I never really bothered to master it: I just push the mode button and the power button all the way to the right, angle it upwards a bit to get a bounce off of the ceiling, and shoot. I'm never happy with the photos”.
You already have a good flash and can use it on and off camera, in PTTL, Auto or manual (your choice).
An outstanding free place to have many of the tips necessary is: ? Flash Photography Techniques.

2 – lower your aperture and shutter speed as much as you can. In your 6400 ISO shot, if you managed to lower to 1/40 and f/4.0, you could have used ISO 1600.

To the question: “Do I NEED a full frame camera?”

No, you do not.
But… and if you decide to stay with APS-C…, wait until the new Pentax camera comes out – it looks it will be a bomb -, and buy it (one of the main improvements to be expected is even better high ISO performance).

My answer: "keep calm and carry on"... tanking photos with the gear I already have!

I do not know about Gimp, but NikCollection can be easily added to Paint.Net photo editor (https://www.getpaint.net/).

I second the TZ70.

It can go in a pocket everywhere.

Here is an example of it’s use at “600mm” equivalent:

Congratulations and thank you very much for the styles contribution into dtstyle.net.

From these new 4, I like the "Init-Pop w_Filmic, Amaze, Vibrance" a lot.

Camera bags - problems and your solutions

I have it on my left side like a holster, and I have no problems with my arms swinging when I walk.
The few times I have moved it to a more center position (it’s easy to do so), I find I’m “jumping up” the bag with my left leg every step I make, which is something I do not like, so I just return it to the holster position.

Many times I just like to take a camera and one lens in my casual walk / going out. For this I want to have the bag attached to my belt.

Best (smaller and lighter) solution I have found is the Case Logic Briker BRCS101. The My K-S2, with the DA 40mm 2.8 XS or the FA 50mm 1.4, fit perfectly.

Even less than a month from the final release of Darktable 3.0 (if the timeline of last year’s is maintained), they keep on putting out new RC’s, being just out 3.0.0rc2.

This new version (an detailed information about what is new /corrected) can be obtain directly from GitHub: Release darktable 3.0.0rc2 released · darktable-org/darktable · GitHub

“what adapter winder? Thanks”

Not Winder here, but it’s one adaptor for each type of camera.
Normally they are just a tube with the lens slot on one side and the Sony FE slot (in this case) on the other.
If the lens has a manual aperture ring, one of these is enough, the unique thing is one looses auto focus and has to focus manually.

Per example, for Pentax cameras my advice is to go with this (or similar) adapter: amazon.com : Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter - Pentax K AF Mount (PKAF) DSLR Lens to Sony Alpha E-Mount Mirrorless Camera Body with Built-in Aperture Control Dial : Camera & Photo?tag=pentaxforums-20& so one can use manual aperture lenses and lenses without aperture ring (as the Pentax DA 40mm f/2.8 XS).

Not correct!

What is out is the first release candidate of Darktable 3.0 - “darktable 3.0.0rc0”.
To get the full information about the new stuff (the new stuff is huge!) and access to the installation files for the several operating systems go to darktable 3.0.0rc0 released | darktable.

The final full 3.0 version should be available around Christmas – last year it was in the 24th of December.
