It is a DG lens, which means full frame. DC is aps-c crop.

This thread is hard to find. Architectural detail @5.6 (still to shallow for decent sharpness on the protruding part).

Google's sharing functionality is better. You can just add the e-mail of the friend or family member you want to share the album with. They don't need a google account.

Ok so it is a cost cutting decision. You get what you pay for or something. I would pick up the Samyang alternatives, which are cheaper, lighter and take 49mm filters.

Optical lens size is rather small. I don't see why it has to come in such a large package. Lens motors don't need to be so large.

Samsung had one: Samsung Galaxy NX: 20.3MP, 4G, HSPA+, WiFi Digital Camera & 18-55mm Kit - Samsung UK

I think the question should be why they are not using phone processors with the computational photography capabilities.
