Here it is the middle of winter and I spot this ladybug on the deck this afternoon. Any excuse to get the camera out. It's the very dangerous and deadly February ladybug so I used the long lens to stay a safe distance away : >

Cropped a little.

that could have been me on the ground just last week. Wet roads and my foot (slick cleat) slipped as I was getting on the bike. Both me and the bike went down in a pile, only thing hurt was my ego and rear blinkie light, it was a fatal failure for it.

How about this? toned it down a little. it's hard to say, the multiple paintbrush flowers give a nice environmental quality but didn't really make you focus on the bird. I liked it both ways but I think the cropped version makes you focus on the bird.

Here's with the brightness turned down a little.

Something you might try in Capture one before your trial runs out is smart albums, those may work for your collections. It pretty much will allow you to make a folder with about any criteria, then continues to add to the folder as additional images are created with the same criteria. It may not be the end all but I use them quite a bit. to sort my pictures. I've even gone as far as to sort bi ISO, Camera, Key Words, Aperture, lens, and several others.

Ok, back from a quick trip to Kentucky. Here is image cropped as suggested above. It looks really nice. I guess my aversion to cropping so close was the Indian paintbrush being so colorful. I'll try to be more aggressive on cropping and see what that does with my satisfaction with the images I take.

Thanks for the suggestions.

My user name was/is self descriptive of the pictures I was taking, seemed like everything was blurry for the longest time.

Open to ideas on this one, I've never been able to decide how to crop it or even if it's worth messing with. From July 2014, lucky to have been in the right spot, just as we got out of the truck for a hike. At the time I was just happy to get something in focus and not too blurry.

Ideas and opinions welcome.

Well, here's a picture of the 100 year strap, It's not a very good picture, just snapped a quick one today before heading out. Looks to be the same style as the OEM camera strap. I'd say it was understated for 100 years, but I like it as it's not too flashy, just the little red 1919 tag on one side and 100 years on each side of Pentax.

Another from our trip to Hawaii, This one cropped (alot) to get heads and hands out of the bottom of the picture. Taken from the little runabouts that take you out to the memorial. We didn't get to walk on the memorial as it was under repair while we were there. The battleship Missouri is in the background.

The strap, lens and case arrived today, in a HUGE box. Wife opened and took the strap out and says I can't have it until Christmas. I guess I really did buy my own Christmas present.

Nice shot, I was surprised how large they get in the wild. Actually I was surprised to see one in the wild when we went to Florida in 2017. He was just walking down the side of the road, not a care in the world.

What I have done to make the grid tool more accessible is to have it be a floating tool. There is room at the top of CO where the brand shows. I have several floating tools up there across the tom. When I use them I just click on the tool and it expands, do what I want then click on it again and it collapses. It's reasonably convenient. I have layers, Grid, Base characteristics and white balance across the top, after using it a few times it becomes habit and you remember where those tools are.

This from October, this is a pano I took with the DA100 mm macro. I walked down the hill a little to give a more interesting perspective, processed in capture one and stitched with Microsoft ICE.
