I replaced my Joby gorilla pod 3K with a 5K and 5K ball head. The 3K was worn out and loose, and not strong enough for my kit. I use this when backpacking with my KP and Pentax 18-135 lens. Next to go will be the cheap Davis and Sanford tripod for a more sturdy one.

I think I paid $750 for mine in June of 2020. Not a super deal, but I used my “essential worker” bonus from my employer to buy it, so it worked out. I’m sorry you missed out.

Here's a bridge from a recent trip to Boston. I cant remember the name, but it starts with a Z, I think and is named after a civil rights activist if I remember correctly!

Here's a "bridge" in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. This is on Big Fork Ridge trail just off of Caldwell Fork in Cataloochee. That's my son with his K70! You only get the luxury of these bridges when you are fairly close to a trailhead, as you hike further into the backcountry, its off with the boots and wade!

Welcome to the club!! My son has a K70 so I have handled both, and can say that I like the KP for handling, aesthetics, build quality, and advanced features. I think the KP is the best consumer grade digital camera around. You can 't go wrong with it, and I'm sure you will be pleased. It took mea few months to get it customized, but now it is set up and extremely versatile. Congratulations on your camera, and have fun!:cool:

How do you tell the difference between a grizzly and a black bear? Climb a tree. If the bear comes up after you it’s a black bear, and if it knocks the tree down, it’s a grizzly!!:lol::D:lol:;)

Very nice! I had forgotten about these bridges in San Antonio. I haven’t been there since 1988 or so. Is this along the river walk??
Edit: funny, but in the quote I see that it is indeed on the River walk! Thank you for posting!

Wonderful shot! I have seen several bobcats, but never had a camera with me. Great capture of a very elusive and secretive creature!!

It’s like @c.a.m. suggested, you must check the box in the “memory” section of the menu to keep clarity enhancement on after you power off the KS2! Easy peasy!!

I have wanted to see it for years, and my wife surprised me with a side trip while on vacation. I believe the engine is articulated so it can make the turns despite its huge size!! I am a bit embarrassed to say that I got tears in my eyes when we had to leave!:o. Thank you for viewing!:D
