What are your thoughts for deciding to sell (or not)

I always use more than enough bubble wrap to ensure it can survive just about anything. With the more valuable lenses I use a ridiculous amount just for the fun of it. The funny part is that when you buy them from any retailer they usually put one or two of those air pocket things in the box and they don't even provide coverage on all sides of the lens box.... makes no sense.

I agree... I just picked up a 60-250 with 1 bid at a shocking low price.

I incorrectly assumed that the bold font, italics, and sheer lunacy of the statement would have been understood as light hearted sarcasm.

If it's anything like the fat 50 then yes too sharp. I can't even solve the problem by shooting wide open! If this is the new Pentax then anyone with imperfect skin is doomed.

After I got a Lowepro Flipside 400 AW, I've never even considered getting another bag. I store/transport my gear in either of my two Pelican 1510's and then load up the Lowepro when I get on site. The "Flipside" aspect of it is one of the greatest features of any of my photo-related gear. I sound like an advertisement...

If you're in a situation where you're missing shots, I'd recommend extending the duration before your auto-off kicks in. I'm pretty sure mine is set to 30 minutes.

I used to be pretty heavily active on Flickr but haven't posted there in over a year. When you ask if it's "the place," I assume you're referring to the community aspect? I've found a much better response with relevant comments on Instagram and in relevant Facebook groups. There was a mention of Smugmug - I've had my main website with them for a few years now and have been really happy with their support, layout options, and print sales experience.

If somehow you need further convincing, I've used the 28-105 on 3 of 3 commercial shoots this year and on other "you've only got one chance at this" shoots in the past. Welcome to the club

If you get paid for portrait photography then the D-FA 50 is worth every cent. It has absolutely blown me away, and that is coming from someone who uses the highly regarded FA 77, FA 31, and DA* 55 on a frequent basis. When Sandy Hancock says "It's the best lens I have ever used," you know it's something.

Real Estate Photography - Awful Colours

In addition to shooting with vastly different color temperatures, you're shooting a scene that is well beyond the dynamic range of your (and most likely any) camera. My advice for any rooms with windows that you cannot or do not wish to shade, is to turn off all of the lights inside. From this point, you can choose to balance the indoor exposure level with outdoor in one of two ways: use your own lighting to match the indoor exposure level with outdoors (if needed, gel it to match the light temperature) or use exposure bracketing (ie. HDR).

I want to sell mine for funds to get the D-FA, but I'm very hesitant to do so because of how small and light it is in comparison. Here's another example of it being used on the K-1 for ya:Waterfall at Fall Run Park

I would without hesitation pay 250 EUR/280 USD for that lens as you've described it. However, if the seller did not describe this condition accurately then I would seek some sort of compensation.

I jumped on it when it was $375 last year... that was a great price at the time. I can personally vouch for how great this lens is on the K-1.

K1 II - best legacy budget lens on the best price to IQ value ratio for the lowest $

That's the type of argument I'd expect from a salesman. No, it is not a logical thought process to assume that just because someone spent x amount of money on a camera body means that they're doing an injustice by using cheaper costing lenses. I'd begin to agree with you if there were a distinct parallel between price and quality but I know that you know better than that. I absolutely love using my $55 K 55 1.8 on my K-1 and am extremely happy results (and the same goes for many other legacy lenses). I love the smoothness of the focus ring that you will never find on a AF lens. I also appreciate the fact that I can use a lens that is as old as I am and still get superior results. OP specifically stated that he wants a legacy lens for a low price and even gave his personal justifications for why he didn't want to spend more. It's fine that even after reading their post you still don't understand their thought process but sharing that thought in the judgemental way that you did is insultuous and does nothing to contribute to OP's post.
