Just make sure your speed is fast enough (shooting TAv or M) for «*moving targets*». :)

Good luck with sale.
The OS is doing an amazing job as we can reduce speed under the focal length rule (less than 400) without blur (with some limit, of course :o).
I really like mine.

I made a similar request (to mods) few months ago regarding those who post a one word non meaningful title.
This is soooooooo annoying (and lost of time) browsing to posts I would not even consider reading.

Thanks for being on the same side. ;)

Another perspective is to see if you have the «*horizontal correction*» activated.
If so (and depending on the tilt angle you had) that’s may be what happened.

The final image may speak for itself (if leveled or not).
I do not own a K-3 iii.

I am working in IT (software), doing quality control.

I suggest this :
- if you have not noticed any problem, it’s may be because you are not using that functionality that had a problem
- sometimes, it’s functions that are not (that much or not at all) noticeable by the user

As a amateur photographer, I have never noticed any «*problems*» that render my pictures badly.

So, why scaring users from things that has never been noticed?

At work, I totally agree to disclose what can be seen or noticeable by users, but if it’s memory management (better write speed by fraction of second) or any other «*internal*» change, why bother?

Personally, I have no problem with “Improve stability for general performance” message. In fact, it tells me Pentax is proactive at fixing things (that may have not been noticed yet).

My 2 cents.

Yesterday, I had a chance to add to my collection a fairly good (used) kit from a nice gentleman.
It included :
  • small messenger bag

  • Pentax K-500 with 20,500 shutter count (missing hot shoe cover and eyecup)

  • Pentax DA 18-135mm

  • Pentax DA 35mm

  • Pentax DA L 18-55mm

  • Pentax FA 28-80mm

They all needed a rocket blower treatment (and eventually sensor cleaning), but the first few test shots look promising.
All in working condition.

I purchased it mainly to get the 18-135.
Lucky me :)

Misc Balloon Squares Composite

“As is”, for me, I would switch the 2 right sided balloons (up down).
Why? Looking for symmetry.

Looking for more symmetry?
Let me explain. Each individual ballon is exposed to the sun around one third of the circle (and two thirds in the shadow).
Within that 30 minutes where you were “on site” to take those pictures, the sun hasn’t switch side that much position. :o
You did not always position yourself the same related to the sun.

So, doing post-processing you could also have rotated each individual image for the sunny sided pointing the same or to your liking (all up, all down or random).

For me, I would rotate each image so the sunny sided part pointing inwards of the “final image” (and the shaded parts pointing outward) to make it more symmetrical.

Nice capture. :)

Based on your exif, it’s funny to find out that you captured a UFO at 1/125th shutter speed (and no blur), with a 40mm lens (60mm on aps-c).

You could have taken multiple shots at it.
To make our judgment/guesswork easier!

Welcome to the forum.

I like your picture. :)

Frankly, I am use to take photograph for myself. If I like the picture I took, I say “mission accomplished”. It brings memories to me. It doesn’t need to be technically perfect. If shared and nobody else like it, well… who cares.

I wish you a happy holiday season!
Happy shooting.

I don’t own it, but saw birders with the cotton carrier rig.
It seems so easy for them to switch from binoculars to dslr.

As it was my first birding activity, I was incline more to focus on my technique improvement rather that focusing on other person’s gear… but I really consider buying one… ($200+) after my first «*short experience*», without knowing if I would like to do wild life more often. :D

I am still tempted, but would prefer to go out few more time without it.
I think it may also be a little hot to wear, specially during summer.

Good luck with your survey.

I don’t know how to do it, but you could have setup a “poll” thread that would compiles (and presents) the results.
