This is already mentioned for Sweden, but Kamera service i Kungsör AB in Sweden is the official Pentax repair service company for Focus Nordic Group which is the official Pentax importer for Scandinavian and Baltic countries. As far as I know, this is the only official Pentax repair service company for Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Estonia.

Poll: Have you pre ordered?

They started to take pre-orders in Finland when the development of Pentax ff was announced little over a year ago. I ordered mine on Feb 27th 2015, so it took only a year to know what I had ordered. Based on my 30 min hands-on with the K-1, it's has been well worth the wait.

Pre-production K-1 in Helsinki

Maybe I misunderstood something here with my Finglish, but what makes you think the 1:1 mode is not included in the final product? The Norwegian representative specifically wanted to point the feature out for me. And there indeed are dedicated guidelines shown in the VF when the 1:1 mode is activated, same way as the rectangle in crop mode. Same goes with the LV, the back screen goes to 1:1 when the mode is activated.

I also noticed the Tamron 15-30 and I agree about the size. However I'll most likely buy the Pentax version.

On this forum by local I mean Finnish ;) I live in Lappeenranta but buy all my gear from Top Shot.

Pre-production K-1 in Helsinki

Pre-production K-1 is on display at Helsinki Kuva&Kamera 2016 fair this weekend. I took the opportunity to play with the camera for about 30 min yesterday.

For a person with K-7, K-5, K-01 and K-3 history the camera felt familiar and easy to use right away. All the buttons and adjustments are on right places and easy to access and customize. The feature set is overwhelming. Naturally the VF is very good after APS-C. As mentioned many times the body is a bit larger than K-3, but for me it was still surprisingly manageable. Same goes with the battery grip attached. The build quality is what you would expect from top model Pentax. The mechanism for the back-screen felt much more durable than one would think based on the pictures. No concerns for me there. All the small lights placed around the body were also a good addition to low light work.

I was not allowed to save any pictures, but was able to try the DFA 24-70 and DFA 150-450 as well as my own FA 31, 44, and 77 limiteds with the body. Also tried the DFA 24-70 and 150-450 with my K-3. The AF works a bit faster and a bit more accurate than on my K-3 with all of these lenses (based on the examination of the pictures from the back screen). Very positive feeling from this. The attached pictures with the 31 ltd are taken with the 24-70.

I also tried the pixel shift hand held and based on the examination of the pictures from the back screen it worked pretty well with the motion correction. Pixel peeping would of course tell the truth.

All in all very positive feeling, even better than I hoped for. I placed my pre-order to local dealer on 27.2.2015, so it would had been a shame to cancel it at this point

If by equivalent you mean APS-C designed lens on APS-C body delivering the same reach as FF designed lens on FF body at least I'm noticing a "small" difference in size:

Thanks, I appreciate the comments!

I agree that the series would be nicer side by side. The pictures are xposted from 500px.com and this is the resolution I get by xposting from there. With this resolution only 2 of them fit side by side in a post on my screen (1920x1200). Is there a way to change the resolution while xposting pictures?

Thanks! I've been only in the most northern part of Norway that is accessible by car from Finland, but yeah, it's a really beautiful indeed.

I really like that Dakota5 shot of yours. There's just something hypnotic about the eyes of the model.

Primes or zooms

Well said! I have quite similar approach. When I travel the DA* zooms are default in the bag. There's not so much time to think every frame and I still wan't to get a picture of what ever is interesting without using my legs too much.

Primes are for home and dedicated photography journeys, when it's all about the pictures.

Of course there are exceptions, but this is how I mainly use my lenses.

In Finland it's in storage in many camera stores:

http://www.telefoto.fi/tuote/1143/8029/hd-pentax-da-af-rear-converter-14x-aw-37962

https://www.topshot.fi/product/8712/pentax-hd-da-14x-aw-af-telejatke

The websites are in Finnish and I don't know if they ship abroad, but it doesn't hurt to send a mail and ask.

Thanks, the lava fields were really something else. The latest Krafla erruption was in 1984 and the lava field (90 km long) is still smoking hot.

Thanks for the kind comments. If you ever decide to go, don't settle for Reykjavik and the most famous tourist sites around it. Rent a 4x4 and drive around the Island. It's beyond any pictures and imagination.

I sure hope so! Cuba is amazing place and definitely in top 3 among my travel experiences. And not just Havana, the whole country is really something special. My friends visited Cuba 10 years ago and based on our discussions the country is definitely changing fast. There's a lot more tourists than 10 years ago and unfortunately that has it's side affects. The authentic Cuba is still there, but not necessary for very long. So go before it's too late.
