Very bad weekend for car boot sales, got no photographic stuff at all, but I did pick up a first-generation Apple bluetooth keyboard - the really old one with white plastic keys in a clear plastic casing - which is still compatible with modern Apples and a lot of people (including me) prefer because the keys are a sensible size and don't feel like you're squashing slugs.

Not bad for a fiver!

I got one of these:

Leica S2 - Leica Summarit-S 70mm f/2.5 ASPH 1/125th f/6.1 ISO 160 - Godox AD360 bounced off ceiling [cropped image]

12 weeks old, Lynx point Siamese. I got him from the RSPCA shelter, they called him Honey - i'm not a fan of gender neutral names so I call him Tigger.

Nikon D5 - Nikkor AF-S 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR @f/11 160mm 1/250th ISO 3200 - Godox AD360 bounced off ceiling.

He plays fetch, and generally runs around the house like a maniac on cocaine. I have spent some time cat-proofing my house.

I was lucky enough to cross this Snowy Owl today... It flew from a top of a barn to the top of a tree, where the moon filled the background.
I have to tell it's my lady that provided me the idea to position myself in order to cath them both in the frame... Thanks to my beloved! :-)

Black-winged Stilt, or maybe a White-headed Stilt, or they may be one and the same
One of a pair that launch into the air at first sight of me, with clearly menacing intentions, and lots of circling around me all the while voicing loudly. Must have youngsters nearby.

K-1, DFA 150-450, handheld. See exif for shot details.

Cheers,
Terry

Sorry to hear about your issues with K-3.
What's your estimation of DA560 so far?

I'm pretty sure that there will be a K-3 successor. But Ricoh will release it a little later (not to overdose us with too many flagships during a short period of time).
And now the daydreaming part: the new APS-C flagship will be followed by a brand new 500mm f4.5 (with super-fast and super-silent screw drive) and 1.7x TC .

Last thursday a severe storm hit the Netherlands. A tree landed in our front garden. The next day, to my surprise, a sparrow hawk landed in the former treetops, right in front of our house. I managed to get some shots through the front window. K-3 en Sigma 300mm are excellent compagnions.

Cheers, Ron

I just received yet another Industar-50-2.

I've lost count of how many I have (including rangefinder and SLR Industar-50s). This one is a little different, though, in that it's a completely unused copy - the mount threads show no signs of it ever being mounted, the factory lubrication still feels authentic (and perfectly smooth), and it came with the correct KMZ front and rear caps, and KMZ box with correct sticker intact on the base. The lens, a 1983 model, was even wrapped in its original "grease-proof" paper.

I really didn't need it, but it was something of a bargain, and it's nice to have an unused example (it will remain unused... I prefer the 1960s / early 70s versions :)).

These were during a March snow last year, all with the 300*
March is usually one of our snowiest months and I like it then, it doesn't stick around long.

First zoo trip of the year. They have a photo contest every January, free admission if you have a camera other than a cell phone...

It was in the teens with a breeze outside, nice and warm inside the aviary...

A Pentax "Authorized Dealer" sign - guessing it might be from the 1970's? Certainly not from the camera shop I bought it from, as they've only been in business for something like 6-7 years (and their Pentax signage is a vinyl banner). The sign is about 10" x 10", thin aluminum sheet over acrylic.
