Godox XProP TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Pentax Cameras XPROP

You might have better luck with that.

Price is not necessarily indicative of the cost of manufacturing. The name stamped on the product is important. Fuji is a bigger name than Pentax and can more easily sell at a higher price. As an example, are Nikon or Canon lenses more expensive than Pentax because they're more expensive to manufacture? I doubt it.

Just to point out some errors.

magnetic bubble memory is just one type of solid state memory. It lost to a more competitive flash memory (another type of solid state memory). And Flash memory is everywhere.

RFID is every where. I mean literally everywhere. Just as examples; Most major credit cards have built in RFID chips; Most Passports (US, Canada, EU, etc) have embedded RFID chips. USPS uses RFID tags to track their vehicles;

I really think that regardless of FF or crop, Pentax needs to bring everything it has to the table. So things like IBIS and pixel shift. a pixelshift 150mp FF 645 camera would definitely turn things up to 11. If Pentax could then allow a delayed timer between exposures and the mechanical shutter, that could make it possible for pixel shifted flash photography. That would be a huge boon to product photographers.

It's a bit of a tangent, but I guess a wooden beer stein would impart too much flavor and mask the flavor of the beer.

100mp crop-MF with IBIS. that's huge (metaphorically speaking).

EDIT: I really don't like the built in hand grip.

I think SunnyG's point needs to be emphasized .

When DSLR first hit the market they were obscenely expensive; the bodies were HUGE; they had have a smaller imaging area; And they had a limited memory capacity/batter life (sound familiar?) compared to film which you could just load roll after roll.

And just like today the transition won't be instantaneous. There are still many of us who shoot film. It would be foolish not to recognized a growing market.

That horse has been beaten ad nausium. I just like poking the bear. :lol:

I do hope this rumor is true. That would mean competition in the sensor market. And if the NX1 is any indication Samsung is more than capable of producing a high quality image sensor.

Very intriguing. There are quite a few people on PF that love their NX1s. I wouldn't mind seeing a Pentax NX2 (mirrorless implication included)

To use the often loathed car metaphor. BMW, Mercedes Benz, and Mitsubishi* use airplane propellers as their company logos, but that hasn't stopped them from exploring other business ventures. Mazda still exists today because the extremely polarizing rotary engine. They were the first (and for a while the only) Japanese company to have won the 24hours of Le Mans. Winning with a rotary engine powered car. Mazda does not make a production rotary engine car today.

It's fine to be proud of your history. But it's foolish to adhere to nostalgia and not explore the possibility of new technology.

*Mitsubishi resemblance to a propeller is coincidental. But they did and still do make planes!
