The trailing in the corners is probably due to lens coma.

6x7 MLU Question

Sorry but no. You will need to press the shutter. If not doing so you will drain the battery. If removing the battery you will need to press the reset button after re-installing the battery.

Whatever you do the frame is wasted unless you frame, focus and shoot without looking in the viewfinder.

Best practice would be to advance the film only when about to shoot. Then the MUP button has no effect.

Q: Pentax AF160SA flash? on K-1.

Safe to use on your digital camera. Less than 5 VDC when charged.

Works in auto mode and senses the ISO set in camera to choose correct aperture. ISO100 = f/4. So put the camera in P or Tv and the camera chooses the correct f-stop. If in Av you will have to choose correct aperture.

I would refrain from using liquids or excessive force. There are parts inside, the contacts, the aperture lever etc that easily can be ruined... But to push the cap towards the body, pressing the button and wiggle the cap back and forth sounds like a good idea.

Are you sure you are pressing the release button? I had to ask... ;)

But please tell where the dot on the cap is located. I once pushed it past itīs stop... It should be straight up.

I read my post again and see that I should clarify...

Compared to itself I should say, compared to the K-1 the Z always wins under the same circumstance.

I would not shoot at ISO1600 if I want the detail that the sensor can give. At 1600 you have lost alot.
Also remember that the 645z does not have SR so you will need fast shutter speeds to avoid blur.

AE-L won't respond with A series lens . But I'm new to the 645Z.

I have my 645z in Av and my SMC Pentax-A 645 35/3.5 set on 5.6 on the aperture ring. AE-L gives me exposure lock and the ISO changes when I change the aperture ring to f/8 or f/3.5 if in AutoISO. If fixed ISO the shutter speed will change accordingly.

So, AE-L works fine with A-lenses.

Is there still a market for 645 film gear?

I would buy some of your lenses. Just bought the 645z and have bought the 35/3.5 and the 150/2.8 to go with the 55/2.8.

So, yes there is a market for both the camera and the lenses. You donīt happen to have automatic extension tubes?

I'll swing by when the border opens again...

Yes! This is what I have been saying since 2016. This is a bug and you will have to live with it. You will have to choose which one to have on or off, you can not have both off.

Well, this is the funny setting... If turning it off in LV it will turn on when not in LV and vice versa. But it should remember your last setting.

In this thread you will find my swedish manual for the AT. Copy the text into google translate and you will get a pretty good idea of what I am writing.

Astrotracker use question - PentaxForums.com

Note: The tripod I use is a sturdy made in aluminum so no need for anything wooden.
Note: The rear LCD needs to be in itīs home position when calibrating and taking the image.
Note: If using lenses that does not translate the focal length to the camera you need to manually input the correct focal length.

There is a 180 degrees setting in the menu somewhere that I have not figured out what it does. Maybe that is the culprit?

EDIT: It is set in Camera menu 1...

You Don't Need A Scanner When You Have A Pentax K-1

When it comes to V600 vs K-1 and macrolens+PS I find that the V600 gives me better copies if I overscan in TIFF and then reduce the size in the computer and sharpening after the reduction than shooting with the K-1. Also I often get better colors using the V600 on color negatives.

But it takes alot more time so it depends on the end use.

Medium format film: V600 wins when it comes to IQ and resolution but if I don't wan't to spend the time the K-1 wins.

The above depends on what film grain is used. I shoot on Velvia 50, Ektar 100, Tmax 100, my slides are Kodachrome 64.
Larger grain may tip the scale more towards the K-1.

I have an old thingy like that, not Nikon... It gives me 100% coverage in FF. I use Pixelshift and ISO100. The shutterspeed then depends on the brightness of the light I illuminate with. 2s timer. I shoot in RAW because I can, JPG works fine also but some high contrast slides can benefit from RAW.

I have found that micro adjustment "ALL" and then - 3 works with my Pentax-A28 2.8 since it always beeps when focusing a little behind the subject. After adjustment I get more keepers. The important thing is to remember to turn the adjustment from ALL to ONE after having used the lens.
