Really nice image, love the reflections. Those stones certainly are a great accent subject for that scene. Looked at it on flickr since it looks much better with the black back ground. Nice shot.

Wow, awesome sky. Not often that one gets to witness such a vast amount of red clouds, plus the refection on the water. Very nice capture.

Excellent series of photos, certainly must be a well built structure to withstand that kind of force. Nice work on those images.

Really like your set up. One of these days I will post photos of an old day pack that I modified as a camera bag for hiking or on the mountain bike. Yours is really cool since it has it's own wheels and is much easier on the back. Thanks for sharing all that.

Frederic, I gave you a like for that set namely for the third shot, the semi bridge along the cliff. Interesting structure & nice capture and cute little Topaz star.

Eric, interesting for sure. The first shot I favor by a large margin, simply because it concentrates the attention to the center stone with plants. I like that photo a lot. The second shot has such great definition and is most likely the kind of photo I would take, but it certainly does not talk to me like the first photo. Amazing how a difference in focus can make a scene & subject so much more pleasing to the eye of the beholder. Sorta like portrait effect applied to outdoor subjects.

Our very existence is a disruption to nature and wildlife has adapted very well to survive. In my opinion your wife did the most proper thing and I am quite proud of her. And all your deductions are very accurate, that birds life will continue in fine fashion and it would not surprise me that she might remember being rescued by your wife.Perhaps it will return some day for a visit. BTW very good photo to capture her spent condition.

I knew that was the reason for your cute remark...but I just had to say that. Actually I often remind myself that it is mainly in the eye of the shooter...just wish my eye knew what I was talking about.:(

Few photos of a sunset without clouds are as pretty as that one. Love the transition of colors in the sky & again the shaded area to the gentle sun lit foreground. A very nice capture, well done...I enjoyed admiring that scene for several minutes. And you being a cloud man so to speak, very nice indeed.

simple Tammy...superior images. Did not a great photographer say one time that it is not the camera or the lens, but the eye behind it that captures a good image.

Bruce your point regarding lens selection is well made and taken to heart. Not long ago I purchased that old 645 A 120/4 macro to have fun with, and indeed I have. It is a task to manual focus but that is part of the fun. Besides I don't really do that much macro & the 24-70 and the 150-450 work pretty good. So actually the 100 macro is a weak dream.

Last week I put my old Takumar(bayonet) 135/2.5 lens in the car, intending to get out and shoot with a lens that I loved shooting with back in my early film days. As I read your post on lens duplication I thought of that lens in particular...and now you shocked me with your next post showing the excellent rendering by it. I have to get out of this "stuck in the farm work mode" and get out there shooting again. Now that I think about it, perhaps I do not really need the 77, except for the auto focus. Photography certainly is an awesome part of life to enjoy...thank you for the response & comments.
Best Regards, Bob
