IDK. They've got the 31, 40, 43, 77 ltd's and the new Beer Can 50. That pretty much covers the low range, I don't see the problem.

Nah. Gators are slow compared to Crocs (ie Crocodile Hunter). Pretty much ignore human. Small ones can be quick over short distance.

As I mentioned on the Amazon's DPR site, They're there to sell cameras and will give Free Press to the best selling Brands. I think that post lasted 10 minutes before it was pulled. Amazon's DPR is good for specs and pretty pictures but it's probably best to buy from a Real camera store when choosing Pentax. :)

Small pixels, large pixels compared

I see what you're saying and probably agree with you, with certain caveats. The more pixels you have, the finer the detail can be captured. First you need a lens that resolves it all. Second you need daylight or a flash attached because the dimmer it gets, the more noise shows up, lack of photons in the smaller photo sites.
I've played around with my Optio A40 vs. *ist D. When you go passed 100-300% and get to pixel level , you can see a difference, more pixels equal more detail. Now printed, 5x7 or 8x10, you can see a slight detail increase at 5x7 but it's gone by 8x10, the A40 at 5x7, equal or there abouts at 8x10. Never did 13x19 cause I knew who the winner would be. It was a fun exercise and probably lead me to pick up a M4/3.
Just an observation and No I can't supply the files because they were dumped years ago :)

I won't critique you. I will say do some reading about composition. A nice site is Cambridge in Colour. Search for others.

Good Luck.

If you post online anywhere you need to have a tough hide. There's always some that will insult you just for sport. This site is a bit different because it gives you a complaint button you can use if someone goes overboard. That was a very Snarky message sent. Report it.

Try pushing it many times. Mine would do that and pushing it would bring it back to life. I guess tarnish builds up on the switch.

People using multiple systems, which is your next favorite brand after pentax?

I have 2 other systems. Olympus m4/3 , and Sigma Foveon SD-Q. The Olympus is Lite weight and I can carry just about every lens I own for it in a small bag. The SD-Q is a large camera, very nicely built. Incredible image quality but not as versatile as the other 2. The SD-Q is my 2nd. favorite camera. 4 of 10 ;)

I like a good zoo where the animals are taken care of and the grounds maintained. The animals are born in captivity and have large enclosures. Unfortunately ours isn't. It's lost it's accreditation twice in the last 5 years do to lack of funding. If there ever was a zoo that needed to be closed, ours is it.

On film I always liked a little wide normal, 35 to 40mm range. I shoot APS-C now it's a 20 to 30mm range. Just slightly wide.

There's no doubt the the higher the ISO the quicker it falls apart. The camera definitely likes being shot in sun light. I think someone in this discussion mentioned the stronger the lite the better the sensor absorbs it. I'd use 400 and 800 probably on night scene only.
