I was on McKenzie Hwy on the West side of the cascades on the first day the highway was open to the general public. The randomness of the fire was weird. A common sight was one house untouched by fire while the one next to it was burnt to the ground.

For fun, here is the Fremont Rocket when it was at an army surplus store in downtown Seattle in 1991. And another after its art deco upgrade when moved to Fremont.

Nice tonal scale, Huss. I think that film likes the DF96 developer more than the 400TX does. Is that Lomo Fantome 6 a tabular grain film?

An update.

It's a good subject. But 2/3rds of the picture I don't find very interesting at that angle.

I still have some Plus-X in the freezer. I thought I'd find an old shot to scan to give it another look. I guess poor Plus-X just never received enough love to be saved from the discontinued list.

Elevation change is great on panos. I'm always on the lookout for pano compositions. My GX617 has a removable viewfinder for the focal length and I'll often carry that around looking through it to help me.

Sweet!

I also have a 45 Wista Range Finder that has more movements than my Crown Graphic. Not large swings and tilts like a studio camera would for those really large image circle lenses though.

I had a choice between a Linhof like yours or the Crown Graphic that I have now when I found it at an estate sale. They were asking way too much for the Linhof since there was other gear I also wanted.

Thanks. There is grain alright. I've been wanting to go back and take this on sheet film but I haven't got around to it.

The twinkle on the fin is a nice touch. No gummy seals issues with the camera?

I haven't used my ME Super in a very long time. Not long ago I attached a Pentax Auto Winder I have for it and showed someone how may frames per second you get back in the old-school days. The seal common to the mirror became gummy over time. The repeated slapping of the mirror from me holding down the button pulverized the seal and pieces even ended up sticking to the mirror. I have a seal kit for it but I guess I thought I'll deal with installing them later.

6x7 TTL prism disassembly

That's correct and normal behavior. The switch returns to a neutral position after you toggle it on or off. Note too the TTL will turn itself off automatically after a short time period. Rub the contacts common to the prism and the body with an eraser to clean them.

I dig your bird pictures. I've only done but a few in my lifetime. Please excuse the film image in the thread but here I was an attempt while testing a lens that came back from a CLA for sticky shutter on my Crown Graphic.

This Steller's Jay works for peanuts. But he demands payment upfront before I can take his picture with this gear. He's not very "wild". We became buddies over the summer. But I haven't seen him this year. He would see me come home and I could hear his rebel yell in the distance as he flew towards me.

They had their reasons for having to drop the front bed to do the front tilt or rise (wider angle lens option I think) but, for me, it's cumbersome to deploy in that configuration compared to just allowing you to tilt/raise the lens in any position on the fly.

I gave front tilt a test in this shot on my Crown Graphic for more DOF in the distance. It doesn't take but a little tilt for this kind of shot.

Mine does with a hack to lock down one of the prisms. But I've done some successful handhold people pictures with it. Mine came with a Schneider Xenar 135/f4.7. But it doesn't have an image circle large enough for the little front tilt this camera can do. So I put on a Rodenstock APO Sironar N 135/f5.6 that has a larger image circle. These smaller lenses fold with the camera and I like that feature. I also have a smaller Schneider APO 120mm and 150mm that fold with the camera too.

You'll need a R72 filter with that film. Of the IR films I think HIE was the only one you could get a decent IR effect with just a red filter. At least with the 3 brands that I've tried. Some Rollei IR has been recently posted in the BW thread and one in sheet film.
