just made a soup that will kock the ass of this cold loads of ginger thai red curry past coconut milk smoked paprika red lentils and carrots all now blended smooth and i can taste it despite the cold

waiting on delivery today for a set of JJC extension tubes for my Fuji,, Jonathan getting a set on the Fuji thread got me tempted, if they turn out problematic it's amazon they can go back, but $50 for the 2 versus $260 for the OEM ones ...... really a no brainer as long as they work properly

I switched to a 3 flash ttl godox setup with the large fuji trigger that lets me control multiple configurations, works great simplified life enormously

My sympathies Bob, I've been down with a nasty respiratory one since Monday, spent Monday in bed never got up except for the loo, Tuesday dosed myself with meds went to work made it worse, yesterday same as Monday didn't get up fever and slept, this am I had to come in and deal with things dosed myself up with meds again and found out why they say to take with food, serious gastro pain mimicking a heart attack, ate a small muffin and lay on the floor in my office until it passed. feel ok now heading home (well symptoms lurking but suppressed, will miss a fun night out with a bunch of artists writers and actors for dinner then a spoken word and rock show after, been looking forward to it for ages oh well. hopefully it clears enough to enjoy a dinner out at a supper club with friends planned a month back and prepaid

it is amazing what a beating some old cameras would take. my first camera a zenit i i was hanging from rafters to get a shot down over the net as play came in for a goal. just as i took the shota it slipped from my hand fell about 30 feet bounced off the net and landed on the ice . big ding on top worked fine .. i had a kit for a while with 2 nikon f that had seen a tour of duty w a guy who went to the 100 day war among other places with them. i got a steal in part because they were well worn in part because he had become a junky ... i sold them myself for similar dumb reasons but they were flawless in operation even if they looked close to bargain

it does work pretty well, truly pocket size i tried out a friends Sony Rx100 mk iv and it was surprisingly good though to fiddley small for my taste, I did seriously look at the panasonic lx 100 as well but a good one at the time was close to the x100t price and i love the fuji layout

more than a few of my supplier side sites are like that, hopelessly designed in the hope they can eliminate sales force, if the site is bad I email all my orders to the rep, if it is ok i use it but make sure i keep the rep involved because a good rep is useful web pages aren't going to cut it for me

trying the x20 out left me with the itch to get the x100. i finally got the x100t about a year ago. In the intervening time i barely touched another camera. ... but they still sell in the 899 canadian ballpark with accessories so quite a jump from the x20
i have seen nice used x100s for 500 or so canadian if you get tempted. (an xe series with the 18 f2 is also an amazing walkabout setup)

i mostly buy vinyl still .. cds if no vinyl available ..i try to either buy from small local record shops to keep them alive or direct from the artist (usually at a merch table...so feeding them on the road ;) ) ...speaking of pink floyd a discussion on whatsapp with a yoinger friend on whatsapp has me listening to this (wrong link originally)
