Changing my K200D for what???

I thought of a used one, but since I'm in Canada, I only saw "Ship to US" for the actual camera.

As for the K-70, I had not think of that, but I'm not sure when it's going to be available in Canada.

Changing my K200D for what???

Hi everyone,

I bought a K200D in 2009. I've used it and still love it. I brought it with me on every single trip I made. Back them, it was mainly for landscape that I used it. Now my life is different, and I still want to picture landscape, my new favorite subject is mt 18 months old daughter. So I things, now it's time for an upgrade.

My K200D is not always fast enough for my linking and the ISO setting cannot be raised enough for pictures inside without the use of a flash.

What would you recommand me? I tought of the K-S2.

My budget is roughly 800$ CDN (body only, since I have the lenses), so around 600$-650$ USD.

Thanks.

K200D with external flash

Hello everyone,

I've had my K200D for 6 years now, and I love it. Being a new mother, I thought I should buy a external flash to better control the lighting when doing pictures of my little girl. I bought a Youngnui YN-460 II. I know it's a entry lever flash, but that's what I could afford right now. I had read that it was compatible with all pentax camera. But I cannot get it to work. Can anyone help me? Is there a setup to do on my camera?

Thanks.

Ok, I took this picture while I was still getting used to my new Pentax Camera and my 50-200mm lens. It's only when I looked at the picture closely on my computer that I notice what I had taken!

Hi,

I tried the macro x10 (I think) to picture the heart of the rubekia. It's a little fuzzy at the back, but I thought the details were amazing... right down to the little fly I had not seen with taking the picture!

Hi again,

Some of you recommanded a flash... I don't have any right now (other than the one incorporated of course)...

What could I buy that's not to expensive (the trip's getting expensive since I will also be 2 nights in Paris ) and quite portable (I don't want to add to much weight on my backpack?

Thanks!

Hi,

Last night I was in a remote area in the mountains... At midnight the sky was clear and we could see the stars... lots and lots of them. We tried to make a shot of this with a K200D but I guess we did something wrong...

What should be the exposition time, iso, f, anything??? to make this shot???

Thanks!

Thanks you all for your comments! Sorry for delaying the response, but my internet was down.

I have bought an unmarked bag and UV and polarized filters. I'm still looking for the weather sealed lens... and a 10-20mm or 12-24mm but they are quite expensive!

Thanks again!

I everyone,

I'm quite new with the DSLR camera. I used to have a plain HP R607. I upgraded 2 months ago to a K200D with a 18-55mm and a 50-200mm lens. I went ot Ile St-Bernard yesterday and took a few shot that I liked... just wanted to share!

Hello everyone,

I'm a begginer with photography but I really envoy my Pentax K200D which I've had for a few months now.

I'm going to Egypt in october or november for a 2-week trip/excursions.

I was wondering if I had the right equipment or if I should get a extra wide-angle lens. Here's what I have :

18-55mm F3.5-5.6
50-200mm F4-5.6
Tripod
UV Filter

I will most probably get a polirazed filter also. My father had a Pentax 70-300mm (I thing) that I could bring. However, I don't want to many things to carry for nothing.

What do you think? And any suggestion for a bag to carry everything?

Thanks!
