Macro function??

There doesn't need to be a switch on the actual lens. Macro just means that the lens can close-focus if needed, 1:3.9 macro is not very much macro. Try checking the "close focusing distance" of the lens, it should be stated in the manual or something. Use that distance from the actual CAMERA to your subject, that way you will receive the "max-macro" of your lens.

You should grab some Vivitar 283HV's (i think these are the ones made for digital). They cost like 100USD or something and they are actually pretty good when used correctly!

I took the freedom to "fix" your photo, i think it became alot better.
I opened the image in Photoshop CS3, used the ruler tool to follow the horizon, used Arbitrary rotation (rotates image according to the ruler tool). Then i re-cropped a bit of the edges away, but left a bit of the parts where there was no image, of the water on the bottom where i cloned in some new water from the other side. After that i used the Patch tool to make a circle around the dust specks, chose "Patch: Source" and used the mouse to pull the dust speck over to a part which had somewhat equal colors and style.

Here is the finished image, took me about 35-40secs, seriously..

PS: if you dont have photoshop or don't wanna do it yourselves, you could upload the RAW/original JPEG file, and i will fix it for you on the original image as well.. The image is actually very good according to "my standards"

I am not sure as to why i feel this way, but i think the images you took of danielle in the same? spot is better. There is a better feel to the images of danielle, even though these are technically better shots. I think it has to do with the dress used being "too fine" for the graffiti scene.
Even if i'm saying this, the images are very good, but they lack a bit of the feel you usually have.
Just my 2cents, and don't take it as anything more, since you obviously are alot better at photography than i will ever be! :o

PS: The fifth image is very good, and has the perfect feel according to my standards! The dress fit very well with the dark background and the small lighted area around the girl surrounded by the graffiti

There are indeed no pictures, i also tried fixing the link in your post, but it seems there is no image named that. (you have a ?imgmax=1024 ) in the end of the link which should not be there, but still no picture.

Now there is a picture there, very cool effect everything in kinda "motion blur" except for the man sitting there.

Here is a link to the Pentax lens review database on this forum, Pentax Lens Review Database - 85mm F1.4 [IF]

Here is a quote from the database

The 77mm is also EXTREMELY good, even if it is about 1000USD. I took the freedom to post a link to Roentarre's photogallery. James Wei :: Photography

Here is a link to a test Roentarre made of the 77 limited,
And here is a link to the Pentax lens review database on the 77,
Pentax Lens Review Database - 77mm F1.8 Limited

You should definitely not be worried about getting any of those lenses, as they are SUPERB lenses, and i can almost promise you that they are not ANY worse than your nikkor.

I dont have an answer about the program you are thinking about getting, but i think it would be better to just up the percentage directly to the size you want using bicubic smoother, since i have heard somewhere i don't remember that changing the image size reduces quality for each time you do it. Another way to do it would be to make a action that increases the image size by 2%, copy the action together to one action that has f.ex. 50 times that process and use that when you want to double the size of the image.

Hmm since you say it seems pretty close to my 16-50 i think i should go for something wider, i will probably pick up a 10-17 and a fa31 when my paycheck arrives. If it would be easy to sell this thing if i didn't like it, i would definitely get it. But since i live in Norway, where there is close to no Pentax users i think it will be VERY hard to sell. Please do note that there is only 5 million people that reside in Norway at the time, and that is spread at a 15 hour drive area.

So i think i will have to pass on this lens, i am truly sorry to have wasted your time checking shipping etc.

Interested in $425 CDN shipped? Shipped to Norway that is, in that case i will take it. :o

PS: How does this lens compare to the pentax 10-17 ? I know the 10-17 would probably be more "usable" due to its zoom. Is it alot sharper, and since i already have the 16-50 does it feel "wide enough" ? Maybe i should go for a 10-17 instead?

Your images are very very good, even though these are captive animals it doesn't bother me that much.

Here is a "portrait" of a captive penguin i took WAY WAY back in 2007.

That should be a pretty straight forward task with a beloved pentax!

1) Mount the lens,
2) Set the lens in "A" mode on the aperture ring
3) Turn on camera, choose a Shake reduction focal length (or don't use shake reduction unless you wanna change the shake reduction focal length every time you zoom, or set it to 35mm(at least it will still reduce SOME shake, even at 105mm))
4) Set the camera to MF on the front dial, or keep it in AF-S to use Trap focus (you can hold the shutter and focus and it will take a picture when it figures focus is correct)
5) Manually focus your lens
6A) Click the shutter.
6B) Boom great images will show up on your lcd display.
6C)Import photos to your computer, upload to the internet, post a thread in "Post your photos"-section of the forum, instant report!

Edit: Damn, used to long time on my post, so i got beat to it..

Two simple words; Weather sealing.
I never even held the camera in my hand before purchasing (it wasn't released when i preordered the k10d from the importer), and i am SO happy about my purchase. I was looking at the Nikon D200, but i decided not to pay 14k NOK for it and went for a 7.6k NOK k10D (buyin price with tax, it was almost 11k in stores) which has ALOT BETTER weather sealing than the D200.

Thats sounds bad devisor! I don't like rain on payday so to say :p

I should be getting myselves a studio-setup, but i have nowhere to use it, nor store it. I have already used my sister as a model for me, she is a natural in front of the cam.

Here are some images of that as well!

Now lets go back to looking at your great images! Keep them coming, they are always interesting!
