The event is called the Shakespeare festival. It's held each year in a few locations around Brisbane, hosted by 4MBS, a subscription classical radio channel. They have several events and presentation of a Shakespearean play, alongside of which is the Prima Spada School of Fencing. You can check them out here: Welcome
I've captured them several times over the years along with the plays, and have a few more images of them here: Actors, Musicians & Street Performers | Flickr

I don't do real estate or often have a need/desire for sharp to the corners. I have options for that, but none are the size of the DA 15mm LTD.
No lens is perfect, they all have character/attributes that when you understand what the lens will/won't do you can get the most out of it. I don't want people looking at the corners here as they have nothing to do with what I'm trying to capture. Prima Spada by noompty, on Flickr
Enjoy your lens mate.

Mate, you've done well. It's a good lens at full price I reckon.
Though the recent jump in prices in Oz is scary so I may have to rethink that statement.
But enough of that, find some subject to get out and capture then share them with us. :)
And enjoy some of that superb cuisine for us too.

Thanks for hosting @todd and for the challenging image. Must say I don't recall the last time we had 4 pages with a challenge. Mind you I would have laughed if it was 4 pages with a different version for each post. Not fun for the host though (15 posts per page).
The selections for 1st, 2nd & 3rd were spot on and the summary for the winner hits the nail on the head. A bar set high from the outset.
Well, now it's time for the bagpipes to be put down and the #357 Magnum round to start. Not Dirty Harry's choice but "Go ahead make our challenge"

G'Day,
Love the sprinkler that goes to infinity mate, but gee, with a garden like that you'd want a pretty good ride-on mower.

My 15mm LTD always competed with a Sigma 10-20 when I shot with a K5. The Sigma worked with the filters that I had so the 15mm would be saved for when I wanted to go compact.
When I used it though the 15mm never let me down and for some scenes you just have to include enough background and sky to convey the environment as it was at the moment of capture. And that's why I think the 15 worked in these examples captured from the same location within minutes of each other. I forgot this thread was here, can't find any posts I've made in the thread so thought I better change that.
What prompted me was a bloke asking why the 15mm as he has the DA21. I have a 21mm lens and never thought of them as the same.
Anyhoo, here's the 15mm LTD on a K5 from a tumultuous day in Newcastle. Fishing at the Baths by noompty, on Flickr

G'Day mate, and welcome to the forums and the post processing challenge. :)
There's plenty to see and participate in around the forum and no doubt you're having a look around and finding things of interest already.
One of the forums I'll point you to is the welcomes section here: Welcomes and Introductions - PentaxForums.com
Drop a quick post here to let the forum members know you've joined us and if it suits you, tell us a bit about yourself or your photography or kit. No rules with that other than we ask people to introduce themselves. However at the top of the linked page you will find 'sticky's' that are always located at the top of the page. In this section check out the 'Welcomes & Forum Rules'.
Oh, and don't forget to come back for more PP Challenges, they typically run for approximately a week or so and it's a great source of seeing how many different versions can be created from a single image.
If your version is chosen by the current host, that host will provide some details about how to run the challenge. Good luck with the challenge.

Yep, especially if you're shooting with either a K-1/K-1 II or a 645Z.
Here's my go at representing the scene uniquely.

I agree with the above, a lovely version with the warm tones and the optical imperfections actually adding to the scene for my tastes.
I will have to think hard on how to create something different yet hopefully around the standard you've set. :)

One of a series of images I captured on Sunday with the K-1 & 150-450. The location was chosen using the ephemeris to identify a point to be to have the sun rise behind the end of the Woody Point Pier. With the La Nina in play here and a decent amount of rain clouds I anticipated clouds offshore would impact the sunrise but to my advantage with the long lens. I like it when a plan works. :)
Oh, check out the bloke in the kayak, he was seeing a view similar to me but was a bit closer. Farewell to Woody Point by noompty, on Flickr

G'day mate,
Thanks for hosting PP Challenge #355 and for providing some feedback on the challenge images submitted.
Did you drop a PM to @MortonV to let them know about the results and them being host?
If not I'd recommend you do so in case they're not aware of the need to set up #356.
