Tried the 17-50mm, briefly. Liked the image quality, but the size and weight...not so much!

Sent it back and went with an HD 21mm.

Item for Sale
HD Pentax-DA 15mm f4 ED AL Limited

Asking Price
425.00 USD

Item Location
Ashburn, VA (United States)

Item Description
Pentax 15mm HD Limited in original box with papers and leather case. Original, adult owner. Purchased new from B&H Photo in March 2014 and used just 3-4 times total. Stored in climate-controlled smoke- and pet-free home studio.

Item works just as it should. Glass is clean and clear. Aperture blades move freely without oil. Hardly any marks that I can find--understandable since it's nearly new. Would love to keep it, but I haven't used my Pentax lenses as much as my older Nikon kit.

Questions welcome. Thanks for looking. I have over 1000 positive fdbk on Ebay, ID available upon request. Thanks!

Pentax A 50mm f1.4 lens with high quality rubber hood and both caps.

Can confirm. Be sure to check your receipt/invoice which comes with the item. There is a large paragraph in the middle of the page entitled "Our Return Policy" and which lays out the "easy and convenient" PWS 30 day return policy. There is also the comment "please refer to any special item-specific return policies printed underneath the product on your pack slip or in the area below in the lower right corner as certain items are not returnable or have specific restrictions and limitations."

Then at bottom right: "Returns must be made within 14 days of purchase."

"Purchase" surely can't mean the time the order was placed given how many people are on waitlist status. Rather, it seems items are being charged to cards until they leave the warehouse. So maybe that is when the clock starts. Considering ground shipping times then apply against the 14 days, buyers really don't have much time to evaluate the item.

Bottomline, test your kit early and thoroughly and turn it around ASAP to avoid any possible issues!

Like everyone else, you should be ready to get charged the full retail price when the item ships and then work with a live Customer Service representative to walk back the charges for a partial refund later. If you don't like this, Customer Service will cancel the prior order and place a new one...which if the item is on backorder will have you at the right price but undetermined shipping date.

Either way, it's crucial to hold onto that original email you got when you placed your order on the 27th...Pentax Webstore may ask you to send them their own records!

Can someone please post an appropriate POC in Denver to contact so that we can be sure Pentax is aware of these issues?

This is really fun. I like it. Bout the only comment I would make is that we're getting a bit dark on the driver's side windshield...kinda wish there was maybe a little extra flash pointed there...but again, good times and got a smile.

EDIT: US driver's side...outside edge!

I agree with those comments. I find this a lovely piece of work from a technical perspective--the colors, detail, crop, minimal distortion, and straight horizon speak to careful work. The texture of the blinds is interesting...my eye lingers there.

What it lacks for me is (as above) the obvious subject. Not to be cliche, but some kid racing by on a tricycle, chasing a ball, or--if you're taking a break from people--a bird. Even a piece of trashing being tossed by in the wind. There's balance, which is good--but your eye goes back and forth, slower...then faster, and you kind of burn out. Bottomline, this looks to me like an empty stage waiting to be filled...
