There is a lot of detail in the design, so an image that was brighter overall would be more appealing to me as I'd see more of the fine details.

Great shot. Are you standing on a platform, or were you able to get closer to the tracks or track level?

I've entered enough of these where my caption got zero likes which can be frustrating, but I'd never get upset by the OP flagging which ones he/she found funny. I'd probably then scroll up to see if I missed any good ones while the contest was open.

I had the same thought, especially if you came across them at night. Imagine pointing a flashlight in their general direction and getting all those bright reflections.

Absolute correct and @aslyfox has also flagged a discussion on this, but I also believe a moderator can vote or note which entries made him/her laugh after the contest has closed for the week (inquiring minds want to know!)

I might not have spotted the person if you hadn't pointed him out. Makes for a pleasant break in the image. In fact the one thing that was "disappointing" for me is that the image wasn't centered on my screen as this just made it seem off since everything else is so symmetrical.

I never wanted a FA 31 ... until now.
This could easily have been a ho-hum image, but you've captured so much detail and contrast in the rock formation that it becomes a proper counterpoint to the calm of clouds, water and sand.

Excellent as a B&W image.

That's a great deal. You could easily pay around that for any one of those lenses, and often a lot more for an 8-element 50.

Try the 35/3.5 on any scene with a lot of color. I find I need to do almost no post-processing on the images it produces.

The Helios 44 lenses are fun if you want to dig into their variety and history - and having a lens with a continuous variable aperture is a novelty and came as a surprise when I got my 44 (no subversion number).
I don't use mine much, but the Tak 35/3.5 renders stunning colors - you simply don't have to do any post processing to get vivid images. (This is in comparison to the kit 18-55 or 35-70 where you generally need to do something to punch up the contrast).

Nice to catch them lined up just so. Ice is a fun subject to experiment with, especially with angled light
