There are tons of image viewer out there that can print your image. Okay, there's not Print button, but that's not a big deal for the average user. Most of us do send jpeg files to print service. If I want to print myself, I'm using IrfanView on Windows. You even have the possibility to open a developed image by a simple shortcut key (don't remember which) in your favorite image viewer, ready to be printed.

scotty1 If you have the same system (memory amount notably) and same camera (pixel number) than pre-5.1, then it's a bug. If one of those 2 key number has changed, perhaps you should look at the requirements needed to use RT.

As a regular visitor of this thread, I guess that I should be more verbose, it's always great to get a nice word for our work. I'm only clicking on "Like the post", but it basically mean that the shot(s) is sooo pleasant to look at and well executed and/or just stunning. Your shots belongs to second category for sure.

Hi,

I just wanted to let you know that you it can be simpler to install your profile with an added benefit : just look at the File paths page of RawPeadia. In short, you'll find a profiles folder inside your config directory (see the said page to find where it's located on your system) where you should store your profiles. This folder is directly accessible from the Save profile dialog window, on the left side (you should be there already at the opening of the dialog).

The added benefit is that you can ask to hide the bundled profiles and only show yours (saved in that Profiles folder). See the Processing tab of Preferences.

Moreover, you can Ctrl+clic on that save button to select the tools to save. It means that you can save the ICM tool only. In that case, when you'll apply your saved profile later on, it will only set the ICM tool. That's what we call a "partial profile", and it's very handy to apply ICM, Denoise and Color effect separately through partial profile (for example).

@scotty1

The button you clicked is to open a Processing Profile, i.e. a *.pp3 file. DCP profiles can be loaded in the ICM tool, from the Color tab.

Congrats LeRolls, you now know how to make dreamy shots without using any blurry effect :) This photo is just perfect (a perfect model does help indeed).

@The Squirrel Mafia Can we start a full discussion on this problem, or should it be a new thread ? Anyway, we'll need a raw file, the output jpeg and pp3 sidecar file to be able to answer to this. I guess it's related to the output profile, but we need more elements before answering.

Just to be complete, reverting to "default" is not reverting to "neutral". The first one is a default processing profile that contains non null values, i.e. it already modify your raw image so that it can give you an hopefully nice looking image. Reverting to "neutral" however will set all values to their neutral value, that will not bring any effect. That's why selecting "neutral" will revert to a dull image, but that's precisely what the sensor have captured and is what I'd call a "blank sheet" when it comes to editing.

Also, you may have selected a default profile in Preferences other than "default" when opening a raw file never edited. That profile may be partial, i.e. it doesn't contain all the values to only modify partly the editing (e.g. does not touch crop or resize section). Reverting to such partial profiles will not revert the missing values to their default values unless you toggle-on first the button that is on the left of this dropdown menu.

That's not a simple question. RT is in a rolling release scheme, which mean that you can have bleeding edges functions that have been tested before being added to RT (the "dev" branch), but we despite we're taking care of backward compatibility of Image Quality (keeping the effect identical over revisions), this is not always possible. In a general manner, if you start developing photos, I'd recommend to finish your editing with your current version before upgrading. Then, for Windows users, you can uninstall the current version and install the new one. Your cache data will not be deleted. If you want to keep your actual version and install a new version to test it, it'll share the same cache folder, and I wouldn't recommend that (given you're in a testing phase). It's possible to use a special cache and config location though. Please see this important section in Rawpedia

You photos are really nice and clean Ranchy, but that signature is really BIG and catch the eye more than the image itself (due to the typo too). Perhaps making it way smaller (or removing it) would help. Just my 2 cents.
