Market demand for new film cameras?

Yes absolutely, I'd like to see this in film and digital bodies, I know there is not much enthusiasm for full manual cameras, but it is something I like.

The boom for film cameras might be real, but there is a real price hike for so many types of old film cameras.

Ha Ha, nice one, yes there are similarities, the P is not cheap, around the AU$600 mark on eBay, having said that the M2 is around AU$5000-6000 :)

What is the lens that lives on your camera?

For me it changes from time to time, but for a while now it is the 20-40 on the K-3, the D FA 50 macro on the K-5 (they where calibrated together by C. R. Kennedy), on the Z-1 it is the F 35-70, on the spotty F it is one of the tak. 50mm f1.4.

one thing though, I find that orange colour very glaringly garish.

Yes, I have a K-5 and K-3, nice to have the option of a shorter lens on one and something a little longer on the other. Keeping options open :)

Absolutely yes. When I was doing some photography in Toowoomba all they had was Paterson reels and tanks and they worked flawlessly. I had one my self that would always stick. When I got the Jobo reels, no sticking at all. I I'm talking about completely dry reels here also.

I was a bit slow off the mark, should have bought a Billingham F-Stop 1.4, when they where in production, oh well maybe next time :)

It is like the Billingham bags can become collectors item as they do different style bags from time to time.

If you go plastic reels and tank I reckon the Jobo are miles ahead of Paterson, some of the Paterson are ok, but can get stuck with these, yes i know keep them dry, no such sticking with the Jobo.

The KF a new Pentax film camera, yes go for it, perhaps they could repurpose the old Kodak plus-x pan as a Pentax film or some such thing :)
Bring back the Plus-x!!!

Thanks for that, going by the chart they fit the Hadley Large Pro, but I need more research as to how they fit on, the two lugs on the back of the pouch, I'm not sure where they fit on the H. P. Large. Anyway I'll work it out :)

I always found Rodinal too active for my liking, it has its uses eg. in an short time educational setting where single use dev. is needed.

I know it is favoured by stand developers, some use HC 110.
Rodinal could give tri-x gritty street scenes a certain look, but really ID-11 was/is way better.
A friend uses stand developing and always has small issues with it on 120 film, less issues with 35mm film.
He is always at me to start using film again, maybe I should, if I did that I'd want a dark room again :)

I used to use ID-11 as my go to developer for any film, mainly plus-x pan, tri-x, and the fuji films, I always went by manufacturers instructions and got good results.
As an old photography teacher said to me, do art with images not the chemistry :)
But having said that, why not give it a try.

Looks like in Australia or from Japan on eBay they are around the $300 mark, I might consider.
