Loved Willy and Kasey but this year is exceedingly genuine. It is a musician's show not a PR show more than any I have been aware of in a long time.

What is smallest P-TTL flash that will wirelessly fire Pentax AF540 flash?

The yn585ex is not a master. The 540 would have to be on camera.
If a small flash on camera to trigger off camera flash in pttl mode the cactus v6ii is good. If you need fill for macro a bounce card is great. On camera flash is partly blocked by the lens anyway.

I use the yn585ex with 360 fgz for macro. Pttl is fine but I usually use the vello cord and a bracket as it's easier. Then again for macro since your minimum focus distance is constant, manual is as easy really. A slave control is fine.

I use this for macro. It's great for it. It only let's the flash be about 1.5' away because of the coil but it also keeps the cord from dangling much.
Great handheld or on a bracket but not for flash on a stand.

To the Midwest question. First the headwaters of the Mississippi was discovered in 1820, then correctly in 1832 so after 1787.
Now in this years democratic debates they argued over Michigan being in the Midwest. Here is the map showing how people identify themselves.

A mango tree in Thailand had ants doing the same. Many nests but maybe the same colony.
Your ants are pretty with the green abdomens.

Have I found a clue in the Sigma ART 18-35 focusing riddle??

I would doubt this because the eye covers most if not all of the opening. The little light left would have to find it's way to the af at the bottom of the space. But who knows what certain lighting conditions might do to certain lens designs.

Lens suggestion for a parade and rally

Parades are tough. Crowd dynamics shift. The worst is inconsiderate photographers. I have had the best spot waiting an hour only to have 1 or more come last second and jump in front of me.
Best to walk a few blocks and find a spot where you can be sure to have a view and no one can jump in front. Then wait and let the kid who can't see take your spot and go get a beer.

Change asa to iso and you are good. More bell's and whistles in digital.
The main difference is in developing . Get it right in camera and you are good.

Is there colorspace clipping alerts? It seems like there should be a layer mask or something that would show colorspace clipping. Then as you tweak the image you have more direction as to how to proceed. Like oh that red channel in the top right is clipping hard but the blue channel is clear, that flower can go more purple and work with more contrast.

I hate when I am told a cat is marking me by glanding, not because of affection. I respond the same reasoning says You only WANT to eat to gain energy, and only WANT to have sex to procreate. So your world must also be emotionless and you've shown it's unimaginative.

That is dogma. It is just as dangerous to assume that humans have emotions other animals cannot possess. Anthropoegotism.
We keep proving what sets us apart doesn't.

so when I look at the entire photo at optimum viewing distance when my monitor shows the whole picture at 12" horizontal is at 18" that spot is about 1" viewed at 18x. twice the point where any difference is discerned.

on my phone each square is 1" and to not see difference I need to be 9" away. With contacts everything is blurry that close and much farther away without contacts its blurry. It is at the limits of old eyes.

Here is an interesting thing. Change the monitor resolution. move back or forward until a picture on the left and right look the same across the top and then the same across the bottom. for me that viewing distance is the same but at 1920x1280 that it 7x and 9x distance (each square is 4" viewing is about 28" and 37". at 1020x760 that is 6" squares so 4x and 6x.
