The K3 and the KP are both very good . The KP is compact and lack a few features of the K3 but more than makes up for it in other areas.

I have the Sigma 50 F1.4 EX it is a great lens sadly it is out of production when it was in production it went for about half of what you would pay for the current Pentax 50 F1.4 which I have yet to obtain.

There is about a 200 dollar difference between the K70 and the KP if you have the funds the KP is a very nice compact camera. The 18-135 is a great walking around lens.

Actually now we are seeing mirrorless cameras growing in size I think a Pentax mirrorless in k mount would make sense now if it had a EVF.

My favorite is the 24-70 Pentax great lens If I could only have one lens this would be it. I have a Sigma 50mm F1.4 no longer in production but it is a great lens wonderful in low light. I also have the following Pentax 50 F2.8 Macro, Sigma 70mm Macro F2.8 ( no longer in production in kmount) a Sigma 70-200 F2.8 no longer available in K mount, the 70-200 is my favorite to use at events at the granddaughters school . A Rokinon 14 mm F2.8 and a Rokinon 85 F1.4 both of which are decent lens with out auto focus. I have recently added a cheap 70-300 Sigma because I needed something light for trips to the zoo with grandchildren and Pentax offers nothing in FF like it.

I am not a great fan of the non auto focus lens but the cost was very low.

My low light APS-C combo is the KP with a SIgma 30mm F1.4 art lens the only affordable art lens in the series. I have an older Sigma 50 F1.4 which I use on my K1 and it works great sadly the Sigma 50 F1.4 is no longer available in K mount

Upgrading: K3 or?

I own a K50 , K3, Kp and K1 any of the options are great up grades from the K50. The K3 is a very dependable camera which I love the Kp is a smaller form factor with wonderful ISO and of course the K1 is a workhorse of a camera.

The Kp I like when I want a light small camera but at home I leave a 30mm Sigma 1.4 on it a great combo for low light.

The K1 has a bit of heft to it and when mated with a 24-70 it is a big heavy but very capable combination.

When I bought the K1 I had researched that half of my lenses were full frame so for me it was an easy decision to buy it. Sadly many of the full frame Sigma lenses which I have are no longer available in K mount .

Whatever way you go K3, KP ot K1 it will be a great upgrade from the K50

Why would somebody buy the DFA28-105?

I have both lenses. the 28-105 I bought when I purchased my first K1 the main reasons Cost, Weight and reach. The 24-70 is a wonderful lens but it has some heft to it. it stays on one of my K1's all the time but if I am walking about ouside I will put the 28-105 on a body.

I have a K3, K1 and a KP they all are great cameras. Image quality on the KP is great and it has the small foot print for when I do not want a large camera. The KP is certainly a camera worth having.

I have both cameras and I use both . The KP is a great little camera it light in comparison to the K1 and has some of the same feature set. If you think you are going to buy the KP it would be a great chance to see if you like it by renting it.

What do you consider the best Pentax for sports and fast moving subjects?????

I would recommend shooting in .JPG as the buffer will not fill as fast and you can get more images. Of course you lose a little by not shooting raw but at least yo might get the shot.
