@Simon K Excellent job with the Summer 2014 shot. Lovely colour + slight motion blur making it look more dynamic. The paddleboarder and the smith with sparks are great shots too!
@jct us101 Awesome light!
Other recent shot are very nice as well.

The scene below was captured no more than 2 hours ago while returning from a cycling trip. K100D + Sigma 28-300 (180mm).

It was an interesting technology, but the physical limitations of the old and small sensors were a stronger factor. Nice daisies.

Without a lamp though! But it nicely shows the bokeh of that Helios lens.

I used this 10 MPix CCD "superzoom" camera only for a limited time and didn't like it much. While the Leica lens 12x zoom was quite impressive, the sensor performance (especially at the tele end) wasn't. Definitely not for suitable for bird photography.
Here's a few samples from this camera.

@tuco Interesting shot. Makes me almost dizzy. :) But it's at least something different.

Nice work, guys! Lovely CCD colours.

Here's a "Super CCD" shot (FujiFilm FinePix S602 Zoom).
Photographed in Scotland somewhere above Pitlochry, 2008/08.

Developed from PEF RAW in Pentax Photo Lab (batch conversion with default settings, very similar to OOCJ).

@brewmaster15 Thanks for your response and for not sending welterweight fighters into a featherweight class competition. :D I look forward to your next awesome birding shots!

Lovely colour tone!

Love this shot. The frog looks almost metallic.

Cool shots, guys!
@Peter AU Interesting colour tones of an Australian sunset - thanks for sharing and welcome!

Pardon my ignorance. Some of the shots above come from a Nikon D60 body. Isn't it a 10 MPix camera? ;-)

@glinda That's really nice!
@paulh The scene with the pier has some dynamics to it

Anemone hepatica photographed today using my 6MPix rig (actually a lot of detail in the full res picture!) + DA 16-45/4.

Thanks! Soft light after a short shower helped here, also the -1/3 EV exposure to prevent blue sensor pixels from oversaturation.

Thanks! These seem to appear more often in violet, sometimes mixed with these blues. Also white or pink varieties may appear but those are quite rare.
Indeed! I'm a proud owner of my 6Mpix rig :), actually using it more than a more recent 20MPix CMOS body.

@paulh Nice composition and yellow-blue contrast!
@Simon K Excellent shot! I must take out my Sigma 28-300 again.

The picture below was taken yesterday during my day off spent in mountains nearby.
The area was (until recently) used by the army hence "inaccessible" (well...) but thanks to the fact, the nature there is in an almost pristine condition.

My 6MPix rig again, no post-processing applied.

NO tripod. - NO ND filter. - NO sugar added.

Just my K100D at ISO 200 and DA 16-45/4 stopped down to F20 or F22. If only the sun wasn't so harsh.

@brewmaster15 Love that angry bird! Great birding work.

Not really on steroids but such a contrasty water glitter asks for some. :) K100D + DA 16-45/4

@paulh: Thanks! Your last picture makes me feel home immediately. I want to sit there for a while, feed the ducks and look at those reflections in the water.
@glinda: #1 is definitely abstract! Honestly I don't know what I'm looking at! :) But not bad at all!
#2 could be ten minutes from where I live. The same snow. The same remains of a stone wall. The same trees. Even the same deer footprints. But hey! I don't have a Takumar 24/3.5. The most similar lens I have is Asahi Pentax 24/2.8. :)

Here's one more from yesterday. Today I had a miniature Nikon with me so have to switch to another club. :)

FujiFilm FinePix S602 Zoom was a 6 MPix compact camera. I used it for a couple of years before my first Pentax DSLR.
But pssssst! The sensor was physically a 3 MPix "Super CCD" with a diagonally oriented Bayer filter and the camera was storing 6 MPix photographs. Ah those megapixel wars...

The picture was taken 2008/08 in Scotland (can't remember the exact location).
