28-105 | IRIX 15 | old Kit 18-55 | Samyang 14
(I am thinking about the new D-FA Kitlens and wanted to see the sizes in comparison and there I found the IRIX already implemented)

Kai has really disappointed me with this poor show video. The jokes are bad and pathetic (didn't get the idea with the dildo!?!), he has no plan what camera he had to review here. He said the limiteds are his favorites glas ever and he shows 700K people his butt crack when shooting the beach scene the 100th time.

Got a Sigma 12-24 DG. This is wide :D
Has anyone else this lens? As far as I see it, its pretty rare out there!?!?
Until now this is my UWA solution.
But somehow some shots are incredible sharp and others are absolutely not. Haven't figured out why?
Is there a kinda trick for UWA and sharpness which I haven't heard yet? appreciate any advice.

Hey fellas,
I have two questions regarding night sky landscape photography with the K-1
1) Does the Astrotrackerfeature work in portrait mode also? (I think it does but I haven't had a chance to try it.
2) This may be just me being thick!? When I shoot a landscape at night with the milky way above a mountain or a lake or so... the sensor moves and keep the stars being "on point" but what happens to my trees, lake, mountain? Will they be blurry? Is the astrotracing made for pure sky captures in the first place? Do I need to take two exposures and fiddle them together on the computer?
Thanks, mateys this is bugging me for quite some time :)

NO vignetting at all. Really impressed by the DA 35 for that price.
ooops f3.2 and no edit at all (except the upright function LR6)

after taking this glas for a ride again... I can say you can absolutely forget my copy at wide open 2.8... BUT from 3.2 the focus fits on -10 fine adjustment and I think it makes pretty cool shots. Took it for a little city tour today in JPG only. but the results were quite satisfying ;)
Oh forget: since the K-1 is FF I think it is clear that the K3 and the K5 have no vignetting

I will get a tammy 28-75 from a friend next week. my first one was totally off balanced with back and front focus and no chance to repair haha
but I think it will work great on the new machine. Report later next week then...

finally I got some time to go out and try it on the fields. Nothing special but I love this camera. Excited to get some "special" shots with it later this year haha :D
Lightroom gets pretty slow on my mac... aaaahh those 36 mpix :o
I enjoyed the low ground shot with the new screen. love this.
The wider ones are actually made with the DA 12-24 works great on that new machine (beginning from 16 or so).
The Fa 50 is just wonderful and even the DA 35 works really good on it. Third shot made with SMC-M 200/4 begins to shine from f11 on :)
Last two attachments are also DA12-24 with a 100% crop (Screenshot in Lightroom, how do you do 100% crops!?)

The wait is literally unbearable.
Btw, are we at pentaxforums will have a kinda Laboratory too? There is soooo much third party legacy glass that is not being part of Ricoh's Lab. Would be really cool to have a place to check shots of these lenses on a full frame sensor.

For Street I use my Ricoh GR in fixed focus at f8. This this is a Beast when it comes to street photography- anyway. I think the SMC-A 28mm 2.8 would be perfect if you want to use a big body for shooting in the street. Use the hyperfocal or f8 and everything from 2-7meter is in focus. That would be a cool setup I think! The GR is 18mm something on APSC so you end up on a 28mm.
(GR to me is perfect becaus she shouts with every snap: I am here to play. I do not harm...! Whereas the K-1 shouts hey I am a professional I take your photo and do something professional with it (fear of big camera bodies). That's my personal opinion)

regarding to this video... these extreme conditions are some "accidential watersplashes" which also the canon can take. haha.
I hope they will come with some photos FROM this soon. Photos OF this lens has been posted en masse ;)
@Kunzite:
Nothing weird with my signature. :) Absolutely loved your comment when they announced the camera back in february. Another amazing quote (which I unfortunately do not find anymore) was from "VoiceOfReason". They discussed what the sensor and the camera would be able to exceed or so... and she broke in with something like: "I tell you what it does, it exceeds the capacity of 99.9888888 percent of all photographers here in this thread"

I actually really like the idea to establish an own lens lab dedicated to the new format on Pentaxforums. This way we could also integrate third party lenses (I am highly interested in the 70-200/2.8 Tammy) and every other lens you can screw on. I don't know how this could be implemented in the existing lens database or how much work this, but it would be cool... wouldn't it?

Wow These shots Are really cool! Like the flares as an element of style here! Clever. I would not say that UwA are not for landscapes. I can down to 12mm in my k5 but I like to use it for stuff like this where you put the horizont near the upper edge and implement lots of stuff in the foreground.

Thanks for your advice, mate! I read some things about the lens flares on samyang that are under some circumstances really nasty... but what I saw to date. This lens is a winner!
I already own the DA 12-24. I can attach my nd filter (screw-on-option, 77mm), if I need a long exposure I would loose 4mm focal length compared to the samyang. This is not so much but it should be noticeable shouldn't it?! Until the K1 arrives here I won't buy any lenses anymore (except some eBay bargains haha), then I will check how my current lineup performs and then I think about a lens-lineup modification that makes sense to my photography.

if you like you can compare the D810 and the K1 in High ISO... I think the K1 makes an incredible performance.

They are actually very kind not to put 4K into the K1.
Imagine all those people runinning, skiing, climbing, jumping around with a K1 on their head. This is dangerous, this affecting the balance and gives pain in the neck. So they thought about putting this amazing feature into a camera that small that you can waer the whole day without even noticing. kind... isnt it?

Reading this and all the specs confirmed and known... boy this cam will be a winner!!! Can't wait to try it somewhere at the dealer and play around with. Fingers crossed for a cool kit offer with 24-70 tamron and I will get weak! All those years we waited and now it's around the corner! Great time to be a pentaxian hahaha
