Took a trip up to Assateague Island back in November and saw some of the horses out in the field. I thought this shot turned out pretty good. If you have the opportunity, this is a great park for wildlife viewing.

You can indeed tour inside. They have the main deck open, unfortunately they do not let you on the weather decks topside, or down into the machinery spaces.

Thanks for the nice words everyone. I was really glad with how this shot turned out. I had minimum equipment with me so I was really happy to get the shot I envisioned with this one.

Just recently took a trip up to the Fort Eustis Army Transportation Museum, although I have lived just 20 miles away for 4 years now. I should have gone earlier, and now need to go back becuase I wasn't able to see everything in one visit. They have an example of just about everything ever used to move troops or supplies sitting there on display. Here is a shot of some tank treads from a tank loaded up on a flatbread. I really liked how this perspective and framing turned out.

While not a castle by European standards, still a very large house for 17th century America. Played some significance in Bacon's Rebellion and is one of the oldest brick structures in the New World.

Nice shots Gareth, I always appreciate a good shot of a fine sea going vessel. Spent a lot of time near a similar vessel to that Latvian mine hunter when I served on a US Avenger class minesweeper.
