So what are 3rd party focusing screens available on the market today? KatzEye is closed, FocusingScreen.com asks too much money in my opinion. What could you recommend?

Camera bag for rides on horseback

I've reviewed several options and finally decided not to purchase any bag that can be quickly shifted back and forth. And my experience during the trip showed that was right decision: it would have been difficult to take out a camera while in the saddle. It's always possible to just stop, get down the ground and take a shot.

In Europe, there are two well-known international wildlife/nature photography contests:
UK: Wildlife Photographer of the Year (organized by Nature History Museum)
Germany: Nature Photographer of the Year / European Wildlife Photographer of the Year (organized by Society of German Nature Photographers)

I'm interested to know whether somebody is aware of international competitions originated from any of the following countries: Hungary, Spain, Italy, France?

I'm not sure I got your point. There are many polarizing filters with the size of 43mm.

Alternative lens hood for DA21

As you know, DA21 comes with a complicated lens hood that is attached to the lens with special locks. So if you want to put a filter to it, you need to have a 43mm one.

I'm wondering if there any alternative hood that could be crewed to the lens' when a 49mm filter is already on it. Have you seen any?

Camera bag for rides on horseback

Thanks for your suggestions! A sling or a top-loader bag could be an option. What do you think about a beltpack like Lowepro Inverse? I can only imagine how it is comfortable to wear while sitting or riding.

I'm going to have a many days ride on a horseback in mountains. So I need a bag that would allow me to keep a camera handy so I can take shots while riding. I suppose it should be held somewhere on a belt or chest. Any suggestions?

Lightroom and Photoshop for K-5 .PEF files?

I purchased K-5 iis a few days ago and now playing with it a lot. What I've found out while using LR4 is that when I import PEF files converting them into DNG, in the Profile section there is only Adobe Standard option available. However, if I select DNG file format in the camera settings and then import the files into LR, the Embedded option appears as well. I'm just wondering why is so? I haven't had such situation with K20D.

I don't worry about what people will see looking at my pictures (because I'm aware of all these circumstances). What embarrasses me is that Chrome is my favourite browser, and I'd like to see what I've seen in a graphical editor.

I'm using Google Chrome under Mac OS 10.6.7. Recently, I noticed that pictures in Chrome look darker compared to same images in Firefox or Safari. It is very obvious when I look at shades of an image - in Chrome there are less details and tonalities. Does anybody know the reason of this?

Recently, I received a Pentax lens from B&H that had issues with autofocus mechanics. So I had to send it back. I'm wondering if B&H checks lenses and other stuff before ship it to customers.

DA* 50-135mm SDM Squeak

I bought DA* 50-135 from B&H on previous week. The strange thing I've noticed that it squeaks while focusing with SDM (I use it on K20D). I happens when the lens reaches the bounds of the focusing range (1m and infinity). I've heard a lot of scary stories about SDM failures so I'm wondering if this sound is OK and I shouldn't be worried about it.
