My son plays the euphonium. He picked it up in fifth grade - he wanted to participate in band, and the teacher demonstrated the various instruments.
He came home and announced that he wanted to play euphonium because (his words): ``it sounds like a cross between a foghorn and a fart''. He has
stuck with it (he's in ninth grade now).

Is the first one a euphonium (baritone)?

``2 classes...'' for lenses or bodies? My ideal Pentax camera (K2?) is a 24 mp full frame... could this be in the works? Could they bring it to market at the ~$1500 price point..? Only the shadow knows... :)

Perhaps they can get a hold of (a version of) the new (26mp, backlit) sensor in the Fuji XT3, add an improved processor and more autofocus points and some of the other
things people have suggested (I like flippy screens myself, but to be useful the contrast detect autofocus would have to improve). These are all things that they can do, but
as people have noted, the real question is whether they think it's good business to do so. The move in the industry towards mirrorless seems inexorable at this point, and perhaps
they are considering a serious mirrorless offering (this time with thinner body and fully wired adapter for older lenses please).

Speculating is fun... :)

From the point of view of using the flippy screen, I also prefer the simple flip up and down versions. The articulated versions do have one significant advantage however (at least in my experience), namely that you can flip them around with the screen facing in. This both protects the screen and prevents me from reflexively chimping every single shot I take. I have both the GX7 and GX8, and I use the screen on the GX7 a lot more than the one on the GX8 which is facing in 90% of the time. (My Pentax cameras don't have flippy screens.)

I have this lens too and (in my non expert opinion) it is excellent at the wide end and more than adequate at the long end. The several comparisons that I have read in the blogosphere all seem to agree that optically, there is not much difference between this lens and the PanaLeica version (besides the brighter aperture on the latter).

A recent example of mine...

Question I can't reach the site from home... Problem with router?

About a month ago, I was trying to post an image to one of the threads (don't remember which one) and when I hit `save' I got the error message `page not found'. This happened two or three times before I gave up and went to sleep. The next morning when I tried to reach the site, I couldn't connect. At first I though the site was down, but eventually tried connecting on my phone using cellular data and found the site alive and well (yay).

The problem it seems is with my wireless router since I can connect on both my phone and laptop when I am away from home. I tried a hard reset of the router (unplugged and then plugged back in), but this didn't help.

I would appreciate any and all advice on how to fix this.

Thank you,

Yonatan

It is true that portraits with a wide angle lens require a little more care, but I quite enjoy the `look' that can be achieved (as you did).

Very nice @irek83!

The FA31 is my least favorite amigo on APS-C... But the field of view is great on Full frame (as illustrated above).
