TLR woes

That's definitely not right. I suspect something wrong with your lens. Your Yashica A has triplet lenses made by Tomioka, I have a Toyocaflex TLR that has basically the same lens, and mine never does that, wide open or stopped down.

Here's my latest acquisition, a 1939 Automat RF111A. This camera ended up being something of a rescue project. I took a risk buying it hoping it was working, but it was DOA. Had it been working it would have been a good deal, but after spending $250 on repairs, I have probably put more into it than it's worth. I'm a bit of a softy when it comes to old cameras and I can't just leave them unworking. It's now fully functional, with good clean lenses. I also have the original Rolleiflex leather case for this camera. Would like to find a period correct one piece lens cap.
I'm part way through the first roll in it, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the uncoated Tessar can do.

Yesterday my daughter Etta turned 9, so I was looking back though photos that I've taken of her. This is from early 2012. She would have been 3 then.

Ya, the Zorki 6 is pretty awesome. It's kinda like they took the best features of both the FED 2 and FED 3 and then put them together into one camera, then added a few other features.

old film question -- useable? any value?

If it has been frozen since new, it should still be good and perform basically as new.
I would check ebay for an idea of current values.

I am not totally certain, but I think that it was quite possibly made by Ferrania. Whether it was a original Ferrania emulsion, or something designed by 3M, I don't know. There are some color characteristics that seem similar to the Ferrania 200 that I have shot, but it mostly seems like a very different film. It could just be so old that its original characteristics have been lost. I don't have an expiry date, but research suggests that 3M was selling the film from the late 80s to the mid/late 90s.

Ahh.
That does sound like a Frankenlens.
The I-61 that came with the FED 2, and the I-61 L/D that came with my FED 3 both seem to be good lenses. Nothing loose or wobbly, and very good optically.
I have a Zorki 6 coming... with a zebra Industar-61. Hopefully both are good. I know the I-61 isn't what came originally with the Zorki 6, but I would rather have a zebra I-61 than the Industar-50.

They FED 2 is actually my sister's. I bought it for her as a birthday birthday present back 2011, after seeing yours :)
I'm borrowing it to shoot a roll.
The zebra style Industar-61 should be the lens that originally came with this version of the FED 2... possibly an Industar-26 or Industar-61 L/D
